SPRONE is located in the very heart of Florence, between the Old Bridge (Ponte Vecchio) and Palazzo Pitti, in a quiet and small street, at only a few steps from the most typical local restaurants.

This loft (30 m2) is the ideal place to live the city of FLORENCE.
The building is historical and the stairway is clean and tiny.
The apartment has a living room with a sofa, and a large library and a TV set. The kitchenette is fully equipped with dishwasher, microwave , electric oven, washing machine and a toaster. From a wooden stair there is access to the open mezzanine where there is a queen size bed, and a large closet. Some typical paintings are fixed on the walls. The small bathroom has a shower and window. Internet is available on request.

The famous Tuscan restaurant "I Quattro Leoni" is one minute walking from the apartment. If you love truffles don't miss the restaurant "Caffè Pitti" right in front of Palazzo Pitti.
Piazza della Signoria, Museo degli Uffizi, Ponte Vecchio, Palazzo Pitti are all nearby the apartment.

The loft is nearby Via Guicciardini, a very typical street with many restaurants and shops at 100 mt. from Ponte Vecchio (Old Bridge) and at 50 mt. from Palazzo Pitti. It's a 15 minutes walk to the central railway station.

Florence is one of those cities that, somehow, keeps surprising and delighting us all the time with new finds. Whether it is long-forgotten historic gems or new openings, there is always something new to uncover every time you find a luxury villa in Florence, which is why it is a perfect destination for both first time visitors and repeat offenders alike. One new discovery in our office that tickled everyone’s fancy has to be the buchette del vino, which were once-ubiquitous wine windows through which one could, for a long time, pass a few coins and receive a flask of wine in return. Most are now long gone and have been out of use for even longer but there is one that has been recently reopened. If you’re planning on spending time in Florence and want to try out this unique and historic resurrected foodie experience, then head to the neighbourhood of Santo Spirito and see for yourself!

Santo Spirito is where you will find a new restaurant called Babae that opened back in August and, along with its culinary offerings indoors, brought back with it one of Florence’s buchette del vino and the Florentine tradition of buying wine through a window. These date back to the Renaissance, when many noble families of the city, who lived in the grand palazzos that still characterise the centre of Florence, had their own vineyards either just outside the city walls or off in the Tuscan countryside.

As we mentioned in the last post, temperatures can soar in Florence in the summer and, in a big city full of tourists, wandering around can become particularly uncomfortable. 3. Visit a Church

Popping into a church is a great way to cool down and get out of the sun for a bit but you may want to avoid one with long lines and big tourist crowds. Just be sure to have a sweater to cover bear shoulders or wrap around your waist if you are wearing shorts.

The Casa Martelli Museum in Florence (or, simply, Casa or Palazzo Martelli) is a Florentine palace that was opened as a civic museum, displaying the remains of the original family's valuable art collection in situ and the original frescoed rooms, in 2006. It is an excellent insight into a noble Florentine home and filled with delightful little surprises around every corner.

Prior to being made into a museum, it always remained within the same family and is the only museum-house in Florence that has not been refurbished by later owners, making it all the more valuable and intriguing. For a glimpse into how the well-to-do of this great artistic city lived, just find a luxury villa in Florence and pay a visit to the Casa Martelli.

A family of bankers who came into wealth and power in tandem with the Medici, the Martelli family originally purchased a property on Via Zanetti in the 15th century and it expanded over the years, until it reached its current dimension in the mid-18th century, getting to the point where it took up almost the whole block.

There is nothing else quite like a night at the ballet during the winter months. It is an absolutely lovely way to spend a cold evening: dressed elegantly but wrapped up warm, watching a stunning work of art unfold before your eyes, in a gorgeous and, probably, historic building and grabbing a drink and chatting with your party and other patrons during the interval.

Tradition and Christmas go hand-in-hand but sometimes it's nice to break away from something done year in and year out, even if it's just for a moment. Supposedly, its origins lie in the 15th century when Greek clergymen visiting Florence in 1430 for an Ecumenical Council were served the Tuscan-style roast pork and found it to be "aristos". It has been called this ever since then.

Just as described on website and seen in pictures. Very centrally located (was able to walk/bike everywhere). Just a 12 minute walk from train station - never took a taxi. Journal kept on property by visitors indicated the apt gets too hot in the summer, but it was just right for us - late May (recommend owner provides fans). Only downside able to tolerate for a few days is the bathroom lack privacy (translucent door) and is next to kitchen. Bathroom also super small and drain needs to be cleared - floods quickly. Would still recommend place for location and price.

Great location, in the middle of a very nice safe upscale neighbourhood. We walked in the evenings without hesitation. The place itself suited us, we ate breakfast at the apartment, took a packed lunch out touring. We did cook a couple of times, just basic stuff and the kitchen is small but well equipped. The bathroom is the main drawback - those of us from North America simply can't understand how it is humanly possible to shower effectively in a 2 foot sqare shower with a curtain on just one side, and a toilet right where you want to step. It's undignified and you won't feel clean (because of the toilet effectively IN the shower) However for one negative there were so many positives, we are happy to recommend his property, just know what you're getting into!
