Magrini is a pretty stone-built farmhouse part of a renowned wine and olive oil estate in Lucca. The house is situated in a very quiet position at the border of the estate, a few hundred metres from the borgo and it is walking distance to the pretty village of San Gennaro through a country path perfect for guests who would like to stay at a property walking distance from a restaurant. The English-speaking management is available for assistance and can arrange guided tours in the surrounding areas. Cooking services can be organised at extra cost. Guests staying at the property will be able to enjoy a complimentary wine and olive tasting produced by the estate. It is also possible to buy white and red D.O.C. wines and extra-virgin olive oil, among the best in the Lucca area.
Please note that Magrini is close to another property that in no way interferes with the privacy of the house but we do not suggest this home to travelers looking to be completely secluded.

Ein schönes Anwesen in ruhiger Lage in der Nähe eines Weinguts. Die Anfahrt erfolgt über enge Straßen und Feldwege.
Ein wirklich schönes Haus am Waldrand. alle Schlafzimmer befinden sich unter dem Dach und sind im Sommer entsprechend warm. Leider sind alle Mosquito-Netze an den Fenstern brüchig, weshalb man nachts die Fenster nicht öffnen kann.
[comment from the owners] We would like to inform you that we have repaired/renewed all the mosquito nets.
We stayed at Villa Magrini for three months from June to September 2023, choosing it for it's location between Firenze and Lucca. We found that you did not have to travel far to experience interesting hilltop towns, access local markets or tour historic villas and parks or sample wines and olive oils from vineyards adjacent Fattoria di Fubbiano. To travel further we used the excellent train system that operates in Tuscany using the station at nearby Pescia as our starting point. From here we embarked on trips to Firenze, Venice, Salerno, Carrara, Lucca and Livorno etc. On the other side of the travel Villa Magrini provided a place of very quiet solitude. The private pool was magnificent, especially during warm periods although we always found we had a breeze coming up the valley. To support our resting periods we found the Fubbiano wines to be well priced, of good quality and very quaffable.
Enhancing our stay the staff at Fubbiano provided friendly and efficient service and met our every request. The place was also kept immaculately clean by twice weekly servicing.
In summary our experience at Villa Magrini was wonderful, wonderful, wonderful!Would you recommend this property to a friend? Yes
Das Haus steht in absolut ruhiger Lage am Ende einer Sackgasse eingebettet in Teile einer Olivenbaumplantage, welche ebenfalls zum wunderschönen Weingut in der Nachbarschaft gehört. Es besitzt einen großen, gepflegten Garten und einen exklusiv nutzbaren, gut betreuten Pool mit ausreichend Liegen und Sonnenschirmen bestückt. Die Nachbarn im kleineren Vorderhaus am angrenzenden Garten sind freundliche und ruhige Dauermieter. Die Managerin zur Betreuung der Villa Magrini war jederzeit vor Ort ansprechbar und sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Als sehr angenehm empfanden wir, dass die Villa zweimal die Woche durch Personal gereinigt wird. Ausgestattet ist das Haus mit rustikal-antiker Möblierung, die jederzeit ihren Zweck erfüllten. Die Ausstattung mit Geschirr, Besteck u.ä. könnte umfangreicher sein und ist teilweise erneuerungsbedürftigt.

It was a great stay in a fantastic environment. The house offers a large garden with a fantastic view in total silence. The Pool is well equipped, Kitchen Equipment could be better. Chiara is a very Kind host, she was always reachable - the Fattoria itself is a beautiful spot, Short easy to Lucca, Pisa or Florence

Excellent place. Quiet, great landscape. Chiara, who is taking care of guests, is very warm and welcoming. Nice wine you can buy from fattoria. Perfect location for day trips to Pisa (highly recommend Marina di Pisa if you need sea), Lucca is 15 min away, Firenze, etc. We are considering to come back next year.

The villa has the feeling of seclusion as the last 1km of road is unpaved, but provides stunning views across the valley filled with vineyards and olive trees.
