Property Description

The building is situated in the old town center of Montecatini Alto (altitude of 300 metres, limited traffic area) and it is reachable from a public car park, 30 meters away.
The building is an old one and it was totally renovated in the '90s. Montecatini Alto is on a hilly location, with a panoramic view of 360°on the below valleys and mountains.

From Montecatini Alto to Montecatini Terme: buses,funicular.
In Montecatini Terme: buses and trains to Pescia, Pistoia, Firenze, Lucca, Pisa, Viareggio.

The apartment for rent is about 110 square meters, on the second and top floor of a residential block, with access from stairs shared by the owner's relatives, who live on the ground and first floor.
Free public car park at 20 metres from Casa di Giulio.
The apartment has a large panoramic view with an arched loggia with a breathtaking view on the hills of Valdinievole to Pistoia.

In Montecatini Terme (6 km): public swimming-pool Le Panteraie. In Monsummano Terme (8 km) public thermal swimming-pool Giusti.

In Montecatini Alto Piazza Giusti is overlooked by the tower of Ugolino,the medieval Palazzo di Giustizia, the S.Pietro church (romanesque), the ancient fortress, the clock tower and the fortress of Carmine.
Entertainment: bars, restaurants in Piazza Giusti, panoramic walk along the walls around the built up area.
In Montecatini Terme (six km): thermal establishment,commercial natural center.
Excursions: Lucca 30km;Pisa 55 km; Pistoia 14 km; Firenze Km 50; bathing locality of the Versilia 50Km.

it is all on one level, composed of:
day area: large family room made of a living-room with a central fireplace that separates the dining-room, the large kitchen (fridge-freezen, washing machine, cooktop,oven, big american table), 1 bathroom with shower. From the sitting-room you can access the panoramic arcade loggia.
Night area: large room with a double bed and a single bed; small room with two single beds, bathroom with bath-tub.

We spent 6 nights here on our first vacation in Europe from Canada and the apartment served our needs completely. Easy Reserve, the rental agents, were very good to deal with, providing information ahead of time on buses from and to Florence and from Montecatini Terme to Montecatini Alto.

The location is magical. Montecatini Alto is a very old hilltop village, looking out over the Tuscan countryside. The Piazza has four restaurants, a small grocery/convenience store, and a wonderful gelato shop, as well as the usual souvenir shops. There is regular bus service to Montecatini Terme, public parking near the Piazza for cars, and to top it all, a funicular that runs every half hour until midnight (except for the usual mid-day lunch break) to get you down to Terme and back.

Everyone we met there was warm and friendly, and made us feel very welcome.

The apartment is well appointed, with modern appliances and updated finishes. We spent a lot of time on the balcony gazing at the vistas and listening to the church bells, the roosters crowing, and people below going about their lives. It was wonderful.

We rented a car to take day trips to Lucca, Viareggio and Castelnuovo di Garfagnana. The road to Alto is hilly and twisty but we got used to it right away and we could be in Terme within ten minutes.

The owner doesn’t speak English, and our Italian is even worse, but he was lovely to deal with and we managed with hand gestures, sketches and Google translate. Be sure to ask him about the art in the living room. He arranged for a taxi to take us all to the train station when we were leaving, and because the taxi could only take four of us, he drove one of us down himself.

If we get the opportunity to return, we would definitely stay here again, and we highly recommend this apartment to others.

Unbelievable property! The View from our terrace was breathtaking; Village of Alto was welcoming and we made friends for life. Apartment was so great we extended our stay!! Only minor issue was problem with WiFi; but that made us realize there are More Important Things in life. We walked the entire town of Alto, took Buses, Funicular to Terme. Supermarket in Terme made it easy to fill our Cucina. And Easy Reserve Staff was (and is) Wonderful to work with.
