Are you ready to find yourselves catapulted into the middle of the Valdorcia, in a 360-degree dream setting? Because if you choose to spend your holiday at Palazzo Conti, this is where you will find yourself when you open the windows! Valdorcia certainly needs no introduction. World-famous is a wide valley located in the province of Siena, north-east of Mount Amiata and crossed by the river Orcia, which gives it its name.
It is famous both for its peculiar territory characterised by the enchanting views of its hills and for the delightful medieval towns such as Pienza, Montalcino, Montepulciano, San Quirico d'Orcia and Monticchiello. Once in Valdorcia, you should not forget to taste its typical dishes, the pecorino cheese of Pienza and the delicious 'Pici', obviously accompanied by a Brunello di Montalcino or perhaps a Vino Nobile di Montepulciano.
You will find Palazzo Conti only 8 km from the thermal baths of Bagno Vignoni (not to be missed!) and 4 km from beautiful Pienza, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site for the importance of its monuments and urban layout. In Pienza or San Quirico you will find shops and supermarkets.
The farmhouse is located on a high, extremely panoramic hill within a large farm, and consists of the main house divided into 4 apartmentss and the 'Granaio' where we find another 4 typical units. Stone, terracotta and wooden beams are the distinguishing features.
One of the highlights of the farmhouse is undoubtedly the small restaurant, open for both guests and the public, where you can enjoy typical Tuscan dishes cooked with local products. The main house and the “Granaio” are about 150 m away.
At your disposal a small lake for sports fishing, a beautiful swimming pool (size 9x4 m, depth 0.80-1.80 m - open from 01 May to 30 September) adjacent to the main house and located on a panoramic terrace, a barbecue, a table tennis table and children's games. Laundry service for a fee.
Just a few steps from the 'Granaio' and about 200 m from the main house, reachable by a short super panoramic walk, is the fantastic and original bio-lake with beach entrance, with phyto-purification and oxygenation of the water by means of spontaneous aquatic plants (size about mq. 500, depth mt. 0,00-2,30) equipped with deckchairs, tables and sunshades. And for those who want to relax at the top there is also a heated outdoor Jacuzzi with 6 seats (extra charge).
