The recent renovations have further distinguished the property by conferring upon its exterior a distinctive fortress style, a building technique rooted in the Middle Ages, while the integration of solar panels and a photovoltaic system reflects a deep commitment to environmental responsibility. Outdoors

The farmhouse is set within a 36-hectare property entirely surrounded by woodland, where dotted paths and unpaved roads extending for approximately 1.5 hectares invite guests to enjoy long, peaceful walks through nature. The charming flowered garden of 500 square metres features a generous lawn area that wraps around the house, creating a tranquil and welcoming outdoor environment. 2 benches, sunbeds, and a hammock are thoughtfully arranged throughout the garden, offering ideal spots to unwind in complete serenity. In front of the French windows of the kitchen, a gazebo-covered outdoor dining area is furnished with a table and garden chairs, while a gas barbecue positioned just a few steps away adds to the al fresco experience. A table tennis table is also available for guests seeking a more active form of outdoor leisure. It is worth noting that the photographs of the property were taken in spring, and therefore the blossoming of flowers and the colour of the garden grass may differ at the time of arrival. The non-heated swimming pool, sited on a lower level relative to the house and oriented to the south, is open from the last Saturday in April to the first Saturday in October. It features an attractive kidney shape and measures 11 x 7.3 metres, with a minimum diameter of 4.80 metres near the ladder. The depth ranges from 1.10 metres to 1.80 metres, and the pool is lined in PVC with salt purification. Entry to the water is via Roman steps equipped with hydromassage vents. The pool border is paved with antiqued tiles that harmonise beautifully with the exterior of the house and the surrounding countryside. Both external lighting and internal pool lighting are provided. The solarium area surrounding the pool is furnished with sun umbrellas, sunbeds, small tables, and an outdoor hot water shower. From this vantage point, guests can enjoy a sweeping and evocative panorama over the wooded countryside of the Sienese Montagnola, which gently slopes down toward the Piana di Rosia, a landscape that shifts continuously with the changing shadows and reflections of the sun. In the background, the inactive volcano of Monte Amiata rises majestically at 1,738 metres above sea level, standing as the most important ski resort of southern Tuscany and presiding over the surrounding valleys of the Val d'Orcia and the Maremma.

Unit Layout

L'Ovile is configured across 2 floors connected by an internal staircase and comfortably accommodates up to 8 guests across 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. On the ground floor, the main entrance opens into a spacious hall from which the rooms lead off symmetrically. To the right, a dining room with a fireplace connects to a fully equipped kitchen, from which a small access room leads to a double bedroom with an adjacent bathroom with shower, as well as a laundry room. To the left of the entrance hall, a large sitting room connects to a second double bedroom with an adjacent bathroom with shower and a small box room. Both the sitting room and the kitchen are fitted with French windows providing direct access to the outdoors. On the first floor, accessible via the staircase in the hallway, guests will find a double bedroom with a dividable bed and a twin bedroom with joinable beds, each with its own ensuite bathroom with shower. The first floor also features a relax room and a dedicated playground room for children, making the property particularly well suited for families.
