During the days of the festival, the streets become flooded with jesters, street artists, jugglers, men on stilts, musicians and minstrels. Tournaments see 13th century knights compete and battles between piker men, halberdiers, infantrymen and arquebusiers take place. There are live performances, concerts, dances and theatrical showcases and a feast at the castle, which is a serious highlight of all of the proceedings.
There are also plenty of activities for kids such as painting, dancing, and dressing up as princesses and knights, as well as a historical parade that everyone can enjoy!
