Situated on a cliff overlooking Albegna Valley, Rocchette di Fazio was named after Fazio Cacciaconti of Trequanda who lorded over a "Rocchetta" here which means ‘small castle’.

One of these makes for a perfect day out for those who find a vacation rental in Maremma, the Giardino di Daniel Spoerri. A lovely sculpture garden created by the Swiss artist Daniel Spoerri in the early 1990s, it was opened to the public in 1997 and is located in Seggiano, near Monte Amiata.

This sport has become increasingly popular in the Monte Amiata region of Tuscany and would be a superb way to explore the stunning snow covered mountains here.
