Casa Rosa is located 2 km (2 mi) from San Concordio Di Moriano, Italy and only 8 km (5 mi) from Lucca in the tourist area "Lucca And Surroundings". Vacation rental Casa Rosa is a beautiful stone building (350 sq m) that includes WiFi internet, air conditioning and private pool. The property can accommodate up to 12 guests comfortably in six bedrooms with six bathrooms.

The Experience
Casa Rosa is situated on the same estate as Villa Clara, a villa we have been succesfully renting for years, and used to be one of the farmers’ houses. The garden and swimming pool have been positioned on the opposite side of Villa Clara to assure total privacy. One of the rooms has facilities for disabled guests. There is a tennis club within walking distance of the house. The helpful caretakers live on the estate, in a separate apartment.
When you arrive you’ll find a lovely clean well-maintained property perfect for a peaceful holiday in Tuscany. After a hectic day of sightseeing, spend some time with friends and family poolside enjoying a glass of wine - a perfect way to unwind at the end the day. If you enjoy cooking for family and friends there is a well-equipped kitchen including coffee machine, microwave, toaster, stove and refrigerator, as well as, plenty of tableware and cutlery for up to 12 people. If you prefer to dine 'al fresco', there is a fully furnished garden where you can enjoy the weather while dining outdoors.

In case of cancellation of the booking, even if it is substituted by another one, the following penalties apply:
- the initial deposit (25% of total rent) if the cancellation is made between booking time up to 46 days before arrival date;
- 100% of total rental price if the cancellation is made from 45 days to arrival date or in case of no show.

This was our first family holiday with the grandkids ( 4 year old, 18 month old and a 7 month old) and this villa ticked all the boxes - good size pool not too close to villa, proximity to Lucca and the airport and plenty of bathrooms. Our daily routine with young kids settled in quickly and easily as there was the Esselunga supermarket ( 10 mins drive) which became a daily visit, a garden centre/DIY ( 5 mins drive) for any bbq essentials and a great steak family oriented restaurant El Paso ( 10 mins drive). The swimming pool was a hit for adults and kids especially when it gets really hot in the afternoon. Thankfully all the rooms are equipped with efficient air conditioning for the night ( extras) and the wooden shutters on the windows help keep the heat out too. The beds were very comfortable ( mattresses on the firm side) and they come with mosquito netting which was indispensable. There is much higher mosquito activity being in the countryside in Italy, and thankfully we managed this after a visit to Esselunga for sprays and electric pest repellant.
The kitchen deserves a mention as we ended up cooking more than we planned. Whilst it is on the small side, it is equipped with a good electric oven, gas stove and a dishwasher. It has a great range of stainless steel pots and pans and is much appreciated by all who ends up cooking. I was amazed at the choices of plates, glasses and serving platters!
Highly recommend to anyone with small kids and families who are happy to do their own cooking. When we are not cooking in the kitchen, we were using the barbecue every other day.
My only 2 suggestions for improvement would be to provide more shade outside in the seating area. The existing seating/eating area is located right outside the downstairs bedroom windows. Since we prefer to have kids sleeping on the ground floor, this meant we had to keep the noise down during their afternoon nap time and bedtime. If the roof can be extended towards the opposite end ( outside the internal dining area), another table seating area can be added which is much further away from the ground floor bedrooms. Also, an outdoor electric insect zapper would be much appreciated.
Final note on the staff who have been of great assistance.....Barbara from Easy reserve who went out of her way to help me sort out my motorway ticket, Filippo and Anna who were both amazing at handling our requests at the villa.
PS: There is a playroom upstairs with plenty of toys which will keep the young ones happy for the week if they are not in the pool.

The proximity of the town of Lucca is a great asset. With our five grandchildren and their parents we especially enjoyed the pool and the dining facilities outside. The toys for the children in the open attic were a pleasant surprise.

The owners were present to greets with gifts of wine and appetizers ,they even provided sanza gluten and vegetarian. The grounds were beautiful .
Chef Anna prepared us the most delicious meal of the entire month we were in Italy . My daughter says that Anna reminded her of her Nonna . Our stay was delightful ,the people were great to be around .We spent every evening drinking wine and lemoncello on the patio . Great memories .Thank you Angelo Anna and the rest of your Family

Large rooms all with their own spacious bathroom. The swimming pool was great for our group of 13, and the communal shaded outdoor area was perfect for bringing the group together around mealtimes. The hosts were very kind at arrival bringing a selection of very tasty food, and though we did not use any other services offered, there was much on offer (tours, guides, driver, food delivery). A great rustic slice of Lucca countryside, and very kid friendly (our group had kids of 2, 4, 5 and 12 year olds).

Casa Rosa is a charming villa situated in pleasant surroundings, just a few minutes’ drive from Lucca. Overall I found it to be a well-kept and clean property. During our stay we enjoyed the large garden and the pool area which is equipped with sun beds. In front of the house there is a porch with a shaded table offering seats for all guests.

The villa was excellent as was the lady who welcomed us and was our contact during the stay. The villa itself and the pool were perfect for our party of 12 with its pool and facilities to eat indoors or out. Having all those bathrooms was fantastic so there was never any queuing. Everything was wonderfully clean and welcoming. The furnishings could perhaps do with a bit of an uplift but are perfectly comfortable. Overall an excellent choice for a large party.
