Excellent 5 /5Staying at Casa di Vignolo was like being on a movie set. The little square this wonderful old home is in is very beautiful and the feeling is that you are not a tourist in some resort but an actual resident for just that short period of time.
There is a small market, a bakery and a deli where you can find anything you may need in the way of supplies. Also, in Montevarchi there is a large supermarket for anything that cannot be found in the village.
If you have a car, it is centrally located for day trips to pretty much anywhere you want to visit in the Toscana area and very close to Montevarchi and Arezzo, both of which have rail stations for day trips to Florence or other cities that are too congested to drive into.
Francesco, Marina and their two lovely sons were the perfect hosts. Our only regret is that we crammed so much into our week we were not able to join them for a cooking lesson. Next time we will certainly include that in our visit.
All in all, this was a magical vacation thanks in a large part to this lovely home and village.
