The towns of Castagneto Carducci, Cecina and Bibbona offer superb tuscany villa rentals in the coastal province of Livorno. There are also many Blue Flag beaches here to choose from.

Why not begin the day with a trip to one or both of the Blue Flag beaches in Cecina. There are many water sport centres based here where you can hire equipment to go surfing, snorkelling or canoeing. Visitors can also book some scuba diving lesson and then go to explore the fascinating marine life under the surface around the nearby Elba Island!

Batzella: A Boutique Winery On The Tuscan Coast

Tuscany is famous for her food and wine and, as a result, there is no shortage of excellent eateries, bars, wineries, and more located all over the region. We have noted many great wineries before in various parts of Tuscany but if you have found a vacation rental in Livorno, in particular, and are thinking about pulling yourself away from the province’s incredible beaches for a while to go and sample some excellent local wines, then we definitely recommend a visit to Batzella.

Batzella Estate is a family-run winery established in 2000 by Khanh Nguyen and Franco Batzella who left careers in international finance to return to Italy and live out their passion for Italian wine. They chose the West Coast of Tuscany and set up in the prestigious Bolgheri appellation, founding the estate ex novo and planting a brand new vineyard of 7.5 hectares with mostly Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot.

Tuscany is a region famous for its diverse array of beaches and although many are open about bikini tops coming off to avoid those tan lines,there are some naturist or nudist beaches where you can be completely liberated from clothing if you wish!

Start the day with a visit to the tourist town of San Vincenzo. This seaside resort has its own Blue Flag beach and is close by to a famous Etruscan archaeological site. San Vincenzo has been inhabited by humans since the Paleolithic Age because of its ideal position beside the sea and proximity to the River Cecina and River Cornia.

Food was plentiful both from the sea and the land because of the mild Mediterranean climate found all year round here. The ancient civilisation called the Etruscans lived in great numbers here and much remains of their influence in the form of buildings and artefacts.

San Vincenzo is a perfect tourist hotspot and is one of the busiest along the Etruscan coastline. Walk along the stunning promenade here and perhaps pop into one of the many tasty eateries beside it for a sublime seafood feast.

On your next vacation to Tuscany, why not explore the delights to be found in the picturesque Val di Cornia, nestled between the provinces of Livorno and Grosetto. Situated along the coast between the sea and the hills, Val di Cornia hosts many exciting things for tourists to do and see.

There are some gorgeous holiday rentals in the town of Piombino and San Vincenzo that are located in the valley. Visitors are gifted with majestic views wherever they turn here, a natural world with a thriving wildlife!

Val di Cornia is nicknamed ‘Tuscany’s Garden’ because of the stunning beauty that blooms here. Enjoy some peaceful walking tours through the oak tree forests, olive groves, vineyards and meandering streams that exist in the practically undisturbed landscape of the valley's nature parks in Baratti and Populonia.

Bolgheri is probably most famous to many as a wine area. Located in the province of Livorno, it was a long-time producer of wines but none of its makers were especially well-known. After an event organised by Decanter, in 1974 in which a 6-year-old Sassicaia won over an assortment of Bordeaux wines, the area has become much more well-regarded, though still not especially well-known internationally. However, in addition to her respected wines, Bolgheri has a lot more to offer visitors. This beautiful little town is impossibly charming and quite the looker, full of character, a foodie haven, steeped in history, and rich in culture, plus it’s only 10km from the Tuscan Coast. So, if you’re looking for a relaxed destination that has it all but is also a little off the beaten tourist track and incredibly peaceful, just find a vacation rental with a pool in the Bolgheri area and come explore all that the village has to offer for yourself.

Buona posizione vicino al mare e al centro della Marina di Castagneto. Abbiamo apprezzato la tranquillità e la possibilità di pranzare all'aperto. Molto comodo il parcheggio interno. È utile sapere che, non distante dalla villa, la proprietà gestisce un parco botanico, che abbiamo visitato con visita guidata, dove é possibile parcheggiare e raggiungere, in pochi minuti, un tratto di spiaggia libera ed avere a disposizione sdraio e ombrelloni.

Appartamento al piano terra di una villetta immersa nel verde della pineta di Marina di  Çastagneto Carducci, a circa 250 metri dalla spiaggia libera. Ristrutturato di recente, ben arredato e dotato di tutte le comodità. Biancheria da camera, bagno e cucina, pulita e curata, letti già pronti per poter riposare. Possibilità di accedere al Giardino botanico (posto a circa 800 metri dall'appartamento) riservato agli ospiti della struttura, con accessi alla spiaggia libera. Il giardino è dotato di servizio igienico, acqua potabile, sedie e lettini, amache e tavoli con panche per pic nic. I signori Moscardini, in particolar modo la signora Annachiara, Titolari della Struttura, sono persone cortesi e attenti alle esigenze degli Ospiti. Degli eccezionali padroni di casa.

Es ist für uns eine der schönsten Ferienwohnung die wir in der Toscana hatten.Sehr schöne Einrichtung. Toller Außenbereich, die Außendusche ist mit Sichtschutz und warmen Wasser. Wir haben alle 8 fast nur draußen geduscht. Es gibt einen Pavilion mit Platz für 10 Personen. In Ferienwohnungen hatten wir schon oft zuwenig Stühle oder Geschirr gehabt, obwohl es für die Anzahl der gebuchten Personen ausgeschrieben war. In dieser Ferienwohnung ist mehr als reichlich Geschirr vorhanden. Hochwertige Bettwäsch und Handtücher . Sehr saubere Toilette am privat Strand und sehr gepflegte Liegen. Sowie eigene Parkplätze.

The villa is nicely located in a pinewood. The owner has thoughtfully organised the apartment giving attention to every little detail. It is a very clean and light house, outside with a beautifull dining space with a marble table and arbour. The sea and the beaches are very close and both very clean - you can have access to private or public beach as well. However the sea has a long bathing area, which is nice for small children - but you have to walk a bit until you reach a point nice to swim from. Overall the resort is very small and ideal for families with children and may be adolescents. There is an open air cinema, fun park and quite a few restaurants. The Supermarkets are within 10 minutes of car drive.

Camelia is a charming little apartment in a very densely populated family beach resort. My daughter, age 17, and I spent a week there as a part of a trip that included some time in Florence. The landlord was very nice and efficient. The apartment an extremely clean basic beach rental. Most of the tourists in this resort are Italian or German. We did not encounter one other American or other English speaking tourist for the first six days of the week we were there. There is bus trasportation in town, but you must be patient about train and bus connections from nearby Donoratico. The coast is lovely. There is one very good restaurant in the town and several excellent ones nearby. If you aren't into pizza, there are only two restaurants in the town. We greatly enjoyed the beach and rented chairs and an umbrella for the week at S. Lucia beach. If you are looking for a low key family oriented resort from which to explore a corner of Tuscany, this is an excellent choice. Castagneto Carducci was the most charming of the hill towns we visited and only about 7 miles from Marina del Castagneto. We had an affordable and very relaxing vacation. It was a pleasant contrast with the rushing about and intense sight seeing we did in Florence.

The property is well located to the sea (just 5 min walk), places to go (Toscana historical towns like Pisa, Lucca, Siena, Florence etc and farms producing excellent vine), supermarkets. It is surrounded by pine trees, the beach is vast and sandy. The apartment is reasonably planned and furnished.
