Property Description

Beautiful independent villa with private pool located in the heart of the Chianti Classico, about 3 km from the famous town of Greve in Chianti. The villa sits at the top of a hill overlooking the entire valley with woods, fields, olive groves and vineyards. The structure's core dates back to the 11th century and was a fortress that was completely destroyed during the war between the Florentines and Sienese in about 1530. The main villa was rebuilt and still features the original architectural characteristics: large halls, numerous windows, ceiling moldings and exposed wooden beams. The villa is comfortably furnished and offers an outdoor space (partly paved, and partly lawn).
The house is strategically located within easy reach of all the Chianti Classico's towns, Florence, Siena, San Gimignano, Volterra and all of Tuscany's other places of interest.

At guests' disposal: panoramic outdoor space with terracing and portico furnished with table and chairs, on a lower level there is the garden with pool for guests' exclusive use (10 x 5 m - minimum depth 1,5 m - maximum depth 3 m - open from 01/06 to 30/09), outdoor shower (cold water) near the pool, barbecue.

Large character Villa, with plenty of space, in a stunning peaceful location.
A vehicle is essential as the nearest town of Greve is 5km away.
Some facilities could do with updating, specifically:-
* No Kettle
* Toaster slow and too small for 8 people
* Oven did not work
* Insufficient sunbeds for 8 people, some were broken and the covers were dirty and threadbare.
* No outdoor BBQ
* Shower curtains in poor condition and need replacing with ones that do not stick to you!!
