Property Description

Podere la Marronaia is a small and welcoming farmhouse situated on a small hill among vineyards and olive groves, close to the historical centre of San Gimignano (2 km). The central part of this historical building is the watching tower built in 1200 and as part of the city wall defence.
In the year 2000 Silvia and Luigi, with their children Pietro and Corrado, in love with this area, bought the property to make of it their residence and actual business activity.

Today the Podere la Marronaia Farmhouse is a family runned farm, dedicated to tourist accommodation with flats to rent, and farming activity with biological production of wine and extra virgin olive oil with direct sale in the farmhouse.
The particular isolated position and the large garden all around the farmhouse makes this place the perfect resort for those who desire to spend their holidays in complete relax and peace, without loosing the chance to reach the center in few minutes walking along the paths of following the sidewalk.

At guests disposal:
A large garden with 6x12 mt swimming pool and a very nice barbeque area are at the guest's disposal to enjoy and appreciate the wonderful view the location offers.

Distances:
The town center is easily reachable, after 400 mt of white road we’ll get the main road to San Gimignano (2 km). From here a sidewalk will allow you to get directly to the center.
In summertime is absolutely nice to go by bike or walking or jogging, and it’s very easy to find people doing the same.
Nearby the farmhouse are also available: tennis courts (2,5 km), golf (12 km), horse riding (14 km) freeclimbing (12 km), trekking.
We also organize nordic walking and Tuscan cooking classes.

Interior Description

The villa offers accomodation as follows divided into 3 units ( total 160 m2) on ground floor:
*The Yellow Room ( 2 persons in 1 double bedroom with private bathroom with shower)
*The Blue Room (2 persons in 1 double bedroom with private bathroom with shower)
*The Green Rooms ( 4 persons in 2 double bedrooms + 2 bathrooms with shower- One of the bedrooms is on a balcony facing the kitchen-livingroom)

Each flat has also a private kitchen for exclusive use.

The large main kitchen-living room is made from an old stable and has a wonderful fireplace, sofa and tv sat, table and chairs for 8 people.

The wifi connection is free of charge and available in the whole house.

The Green and the Blue flat can be connected opening a door; the Yellow flat doesn't.

The villa is fully equipped with: oven, dishwasher machine, 4 fires, fridge+ freezer, crockery, tv sat, iron, hairdryer, little house appliances, free internet wireless connection.
