Property Description

Off the main tourist tracks, situated in the south-eastern part of Tuscany and close to Lake Trasimeno, Polvano was built three hundred years ago and is still owned by the Polvani family, who restored the estate recently.
Great care was applied to maintain the estate’s architectural characteristics and particularly the scenery, and 6 comfortable apartments were equipped to create the perfect environment for your holidays in Tuscany.
Surrounded by wooded hills and olive trees you can relax in absolute tranquillity, relax at the spacious swimming pool and discover nature by bike or by undertaking extended walks.
Distances:
Nearby cities of Cortona (21 km), Arezzo (24 km), Siena (67 km) and Florence (97 km) are easily accessible if you feel like enjoying culture, history or going shopping. The small medieval town of Castiglion Fiorentino, just 8 kms away, offers: Etruscan excavations, the gothic church of San Francesco, the Pinacoteca and many works of important Italian artists and goldsmith of the 13th and 14th century that are exhibited at the local museum.
We are looking forward to welcoming you to Polvano.
Polvano, situated on a hilltop (345 m. above sea level), has splendid views overlooking the Val di Chio, silvery, up to a certain altitude, with beautiful olive groves
The old town, of Castiglion Fiorentino, the main place of the valley, located 8 km from Polvano, overlooked by the Torre del Cassero and surrounded by the city walls, preserves its medieval structure along with valuable artistic and historical works dating back as early as Etruscan times.
It is ideally located on the border between Tuscany and Umbria, making it easy to get to the main cities in central Italy.
Tourists can also enjoy typical genuine cooking and find local organic produce, as well as a variety of craft products.

Guest Reviews for Polvano

  Granaio

The place is really awesome in middle of nature. Since it is a bit uphill, there is a great view on the valley and also the climate is really nice, even when it is very hot. The rooms are very authentic, just like the whole property. Everything really clean and nice, including the swimming pool. Tenants are very nice and interesting people. The town of Castiglion Fiorentino is very typical without being touristically, while Firenze is close by train and other nice places in Tuscany in 1hr reach. Would recommend it to anybody (with a car).
