Located only 500 metres (5 minutes on foot) from the etruscan city walls of Cortona, “Villa Casale Girifalco” is the ideal location for relaxing and stress-free holidays. Casale Girifalco, converted from a 17th century farmhouse and tastefully restored, provides guests, thanks to its stunning panoramic location, its beautiful swimming-pool and its proximity to the town centre with an ideal spot for relaxing holidays in Tuscany. The complex consists of 6 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms for a total of 12 people.

The beautiful stone-building has retained notable 16th century trimmings. Restoration work was completed in June 2007 and all furnishings were personally and carefully picked by the owner amongst valuable genuine family antique pieces. The mansion served up to the 18th century as a post house known as the “Locanda del Girifalco” (as is witnessed by the old coat of arms depicting a “gyrfalcon” a bird of prey also known as Falco rusticolus) where the wayfarers could spend a night under cover. The property stands amidst a charming park that may be visited on foot and offers guests superb relaxing spots between olive-groves.
The villa open out through large French doors (all with insect screen) onto the front garden unfolding with terracing and lawns. The 4x8 meter swimming-pool specially reserved for our guests’ enjoyment is equipped with a salt electrolysis water-treatment system and sun shower.

The outdoor of the Villa consists of a private garden developing on two levels. On the upper level there is the patio with a table for al fresco dining. The lower level hosts the 4x8 metre swimmingpool with a salt electrolysis water-treatment for the exclusive use of the guests and has deck chairs and a solar shower.
Interior Description
The villa is spread over two floors; the ground floor accommodates the living area with entrance, reading corner, large hall with living room and large open fireplace, fully-equipped live-in kitchen and toilet.
Futhermore on the ground floor, not connected internally to the rest of the villa, there are two double bedrooms, two bathrooms (one ensuite with shower and one with shower tub), a living room with dining area and stone fireplace and kitchenette.
On the upper floor a small study room, a large living room with old stone fireplace and four double bedrooms (two with private en-suite bathrooms with shower and two with shared bathroom with shower and tub.
4 of the 6 beds may be double or twin, with direct access to the front garden through large French doors.

The Villa has 6 double bedrooms; 4 of them can be converted into twin beds if the renters prefer.
2 bedrooms are on the ground floor of which one has a private ensuite bathroom with shower and the other bedroom has a bathroom with shower and tub.
The other 4 bedrooms are on the first floor of which two bedrooms have their private bathroom ensuite and the other two bedrooms share a bathroom with shower and tub.

There is one guest toilet on the ground floor of the Villa. Furthermore there are 2 bathrooms on the ground floor. One private ensuite bathroom with shower and one bathroom with shower and tub.
There are 3 bathrooms on the first floor: 2 private ensuite bathrooms with shower and one separate bathroom with shower and tub.
Kitchen
The kitchen lies on the ground floor of the Villa and is fully equipped. From the kitchen one has access through a french door into the garden with a large garden table for al fresco dining.
Sitting Room
The living area lies on the ground floor with entrance, reading corner and large open fireplace with piano, Satellite TV, DVD player, Stereo.
There is a further spacious living room on the first floor.
