Guest Reviews for Villa Panzalla

  Rustico

Really quiet and comfortable area on the hills above San Polo. From the terrace you can enjoy a great view on the tuscany hills.
The appartment was cozy, well equipped and offered anything needed to cook dinners and relax, we especilly enjoyed the fireplace.
The road from San Polo to the villa is quite steep, so getting around by car is recommended.

Stefano was very friendly during check-in/-out and was available via phone in case of questions.
He has really good wine to offer, you should try that one!

  Villa

The house itself is nice. The dishes are pretty old and deserve an upgrade.
The pool is for guests of all houses which means you have to share the space. The host is nice!
I recommend an anti tick spray as there are a lot of ticks flying around at night.

  Chiesa

  Rustico

The villa (Rustica) was lovely and spotlessly clean but access was difficult. I'm well used to rural villas in Tuscany and Umbria but this was the worst I've encountered.

  Villa

Great location in the middle of green Hills of Chiantishire and not far from Florence. Beautiful house well equipped and nice atmosphere

  Rustico

Beautifull location, very quiet and perfect to walk and to visit Firenze. The house is perfect and the people are very friendly and helpfull.

  Villa

We had rented the villa for a week in the middle og October. Location quite far from everything but very nice. So is the house. Beautiful view from the house. But WIFI did not work so we had to use data from the mobile phones. They charged ud more than 200 euro for heating. The house vas very cold on arrival and very hot at departure since it was almost impossible to regulate the temperature without closing the heating system. And some heaters in bathroom and sitting room could not close at all. A lot of wasted energi and a high bill. There was not hot water in the shower in the basement and in one of the bathrooms on the forst floor.I would recomend owners to turn heat on before guests arrive. It was freezing cold first day and night on arrival in the house. But in generel a nice place. Good for friends or a large family.

  Rustico

Pizza an. Beides sehr empfehlenswert.

  Villa

Nice house, Nice pool, Nice owners. Location is a little remote, but the view from the terrace is stunning.

  Rustico

Villa Panzalla is a beautiful, comfortable choice for those who prefer some quiet, relaxing time surrounded by breathtaking scenery. The apartment provides all necessary amenities and the garden and pool area are fantastic.

  Rondini

[English translation courtesy of Easy Reserve] The owners, Stefano and Sergio, gave us a wonderful welcome. The villa was clean and very functional.
The 2 km dirt road to reach the house is surprising on the first day, but you get used quickly.
In short we really enjoyed our stay.

  Villa

Villa was clean and well equipped. Views were beautiful from the villa. Stefano and Sergio went out of their way to assist in anyway.

  Rustico

Enjoyed my stay. The villa was very beautiful and well kept.

  Fienile

This villa and stay exceeded all our expectations. We cannot speak highly enough of the setting, the villa itself and specifically about our hosts Sergio and Stephano. The meals we had at Villa Fabroni were excellent, great atmosphere and friendly service. Pyne cooking school was very informative and entertaining. Sure the drive up from San Polo is a little challenging but it is well worth the effort - you just need to take your time.

  Villa

We had a wonderful time staying at Villa Panzalla. The Villa itself was beautiful full of Tuscan country charm. Very comfortable & cosy. The view changed every morning & was a miracle to witness upon waking. We enjoyed the pool whenever we wern't out sightseeing. Our hosts Stefano & Sergio treated us as family, even letting us make friends with gorgeous Lucio, their British Bulldog. We were invited to go along and take part in grape picking one day which was great fun & were treated to dinner under the stars with music & dancing at Villa Fabbroni that night. Magical! As far as getting to the villa goes, it is up a hill with 2 km of unsealed quite rough road so be prepared but our minivan coped well with it. Down the hill in San Polo we recommend eating at a great restaurant La Paglietta, we celebrated our 30th Wedding Anniversary there with a large group & we couldn't have been better looked after by the owner Aldo & his staff. Would definatetely recommend Villa Panzalla to anyone wants a peaceful Tuscan stay up in the hills. You will never forget it!

  Rustico

We were delighted with the apartment, location. Dinner served by Sergio was outstanding. Both of them, Sergio and Stefano were very helpful and friendly. We really enjoyed our stay over there.

  Villa

In reviewing the property I would have to break it up into a couple of sections to give the reader an understanding of the 'Average' rating.First of all the Villa accommodations are lovely and the scenery is breathtaking...so why the average rating? We did not realize, and it was totally our fault for not researching more, that we would be surrounded by other guests to adjoining villas. The large patio for one villa is directly adjacent to the entrance to our villa....so when we sat out during the day or evening we had several people partying a mere 15 metres away. We also had two couples in villas directly below ours and were asked by the owners to tread lightly so as not to disturb the other guests. which is understandable but not desirable.Again we should have done our homework before we booked. The villa is on a dirt road so be prepared for some off roading...and the nearest town is small but a 20 minute drive will get you to a larger centre with good grocery shopping. The countryside is beautiful and the villa amenities are good, the main bath needs some work, but do not expect privacy if some or all of the adjoining villas are booked as well. Stefano was very helpful and informative however Sergio was hot and cold and sometimes we seemed a bother to him..Just my humble opinion.

  Villa

A memorable stay! Thanks to Stefano and the team for making it enjoyable. The villa is very nicely suitable especially to visit Florence (less than 30 mins from downtown) and Chianti area. Great for up to 10 people, very nice view overlooking the Chianti hills. The hosts made the stay convenient. They provided all info and guidebooks a plenty. The cuisne over the weekend in the main villa is great and worth it and Stefano always willing to help. Restaurant in San Polo (less than 10 mins away are nice and family friendly). only inconvenience: be prepared for the last 3 km of no asphalt to reach the villa. The main bath worths some renovation to keep the villa standing; Thanks again for a great stay!

  Villa

We had a wonderful time; the villa and view were spectacular! We were a bit concerned because we had a fire every day due to the cold temperatures and there was no fire screen. It's probably a cultural thing as in our country we are used to this sort of thing. Sergio and Stefano were the ultimate hosts. Their pizzas are to die for and they were available for any questions or advice that we needed. We would highly recommend this villa as your "home away from home" while you are in Italy.

  Rustico

We've had a real good time at Villa Panzalla. It was very quiet and peaceful, unfortunately the mosquitos deviled us.

  Rustico

Alles was als verwacht, prachtige ligging, prima ontvangst.

[English translation courtesy of Easy Reserve] Everything was as expected, beautiful location, great welcome.

  Rondini

Absolutely great stay!! Wonderful! We arrived late one night so were unable to get any food for breakfast the next day. They went out and purchased and delivered it to us! Great dinners a few nights each week. Will bake and deliver pizza, fresh bread. Convenient location, once you find the villa!

  Rustico

The villa is located on the top of a hill in the south of Florence (20km). The view is very good and the place is very silent.
A car is necessary.
Owners are very helpful and add additional services like bread in the morning or selfmade Pizza.
The appartment itself can become very cold in the night (I was there in April) and so it is necessary to use the fireplace. This is very romantic but is also connected with the smell of fire and ash. Dont wear your good cloth.
The kitchen/dining area/living room is functional. Only the couch is old and not relaxing anymore.

When the weather is beautiful and you dont expect luxury you can have a beautiful stay there. If the weather is not good you are very limited but Florence is not far away and you can visit all the museums.

  Cappella

This property and the owners are wonderful. Stephon and Sergio were the best hosts ever! The dinners they prepared were excellent. Thier hospitality went over and above the norm. I would definitely stay here again. Sylvia

  Villa

We loved our stay at Villa Panzalla in the Tuscan Hills. The view was wonderful. The villa was very spacious for our group. The landlord was very helpful, giving us maps of Florence and the Chianti area, answering our questions about where to find things, and bringing us bread in the morning was a great convenience. We would definitely stay here again.
