Originally an 19th century barn, this traditional Tuscan country house sits at 405 metres above sea level and was thoughtfully acquired and completely renovated by its current owner, who preserved the original character of the structure, including its distinctive window ventilation grilles and wooden ceiling beams, while introducing beautiful oak floors, air conditioning, and well-appointed living spaces. The property is enveloped by a generous garden of approximately 1,200 square metres, where olive trees, lavender bushes, and fragrant rosemary create a serene and picturesque setting. A private parking area is conveniently located in front of the house, accessible through a remote-controlled gate. Wireless internet connectivity is available throughout the property, ensuring guests remain connected during their stay. The non-heated swimming pool, lined in walnut-coloured travertine and surrounded by elegant paving, sunbeds, and lush greenery, completes this exceptional countryside retreat.

Outdoors

The outdoor spaces of Country House Lo Spigo are a true celebration of the Tuscan landscape. The usable garden area extends across 2 levels, covering approximately 700 square metres of lawn, lavender and rosemary bushes, lemon trees, and fruit trees, all framed by the unmistakable panorama of the Chianti hills dotted with ancient borghi and expanses of vineyards. In front of the main entrance, a paved patio leads to a beautiful jasmine-covered pergola, fully equipped with a comfortable seating area, a dining table, and a barbecue, making it an ideal space for outdoor meals and relaxed evenings. Adjacent to the pergola, a solarium area provides the perfect spot for sunbathing. A flight of steps from the patio descends to the lower lawn area, offering additional space for leisure and relaxation. The non-heated swimming pool measures 6 x 3.25 metres with a constant depth of 1.60 metres. It is lined in walnut-coloured travertine and features salt purification, steps for water access on one of the short sides, and an internal spotlight. Surrounding the pool, guests will find sunbeds, low tables, an umbrella, and a portable cold-water shower. The pool is also equipped with an isothermal bubble cover to help preserve water temperature during cooler periods. The pool is open from the last Saturday in April until the first Saturday in October. Please be aware that the photographs of the property were taken in spring, and therefore the appearance of flowering plants and the colour of the garden grass may differ at the time of your arrival.

Although the property is not fully fenced, its secluded position within a quiet area, naturally sheltered by the surrounding trees, ensures a high degree of privacy and tranquillity. Pets are not permitted at this property. Guests are kindly requested to follow the waste disposal guidelines provided at check-in, as failure to do so will result in an additional charge applied at check-out. The property is situated on sloping terrain, which allows independent external access to both floors of the house.

By following the scenic Chiantigiana road, a panoramic route connecting the great Tuscan cities, guests can reach Florence in approximately 30 kilometres and Siena in approximately 40 kilometres. This same route provides easy access to the renowned Chianti towns of Radda, Gaiole, Greve, and Panzano, each rich in art treasures, historic churches, and Renaissance villas set on panoramic hillsides.
