Our stay at Villa Celeste was phenomenal. At first we were disappointed that it was in flat country and not the hills of Tuscany that we had envisioned. By the time we left we were so thankful that we had chosen this vacation place. This was due to the owners Emilia and Franco and their unbelievable generosity. While we had not ordered any food plan, they prepared a wonderful repast for our arrival, they constantly offered us tomatoes and fresh figs and little pears from their garden, they showed up one morning with coffee and a freshly baked cake, and when I was concerned that there may be no restaurant open on a Sunday they quickly came to us with homemade gnocchi – all of this for no added charge. When I wanted to see a wild and mountainous nearby area but was afraid to drive those roads, they took us for the day. They always looked out for us – if it was to help us with out parcels, or to open the gate for our car when we arrived. The place was so spotless I thought we were the first-time occupants – but they have a vacationing family who have been back 5 times. The kitchen is large with many pots, pans, cutlery, etc. – a great stove, fridge, microwave and washing machine. The bedroom is also large and the bathroom larger than the usual European rental. There is a very nice little side porch that overlooks the garden, palm trees, birds flitting around so that while they faced a fairly busy street the villa was set back with a garden and the traffic did not disturb us at all. When we stayed a second week they did not charge us for new linen. They were simply marvelous and we would definitely return.

Despite having no living area this apartment was quite good for 6 adults who each had a two seater car. The cars could be parked off street and the bus to central Florence is outside the front gate. The apartment was not as clean as one would expect. It looked rather grubby with cobwebs in places. The dishwasher had not been unpacked and there was food in the bottom of the dishwasher so maybe it had not even been through a cycle. The kitchen is rather small making it difficult for two people to be in the room to prepare a meal. We had problems with the electricity failing a number of times and not being able to reset the circuit as the switchboard for the apartment was located in the other apartment on the same level. The hot water also failed one night. The property managers/agents, Sylvia and Thommaso were very helpful by attending promptly to fix any problem but it was inconvenient to have to contact them all the time.

Guido the manager is extremely friendly, the location is ideally situated near Siena and the Chianti area. Swimming pool very nice. Our appartment was in our opinion superior as we enjoyed more privacy than some others.

We loved staying at Le Gallozzole. It was very relaxing. The location was great because we were able to do day trips to Pisa and Florence easily. The kids loved the pool. The was very helpful and welcoming.

The villa is ideally located with easy access to many destinations in Tuscany. It was well-appointed and fairly priced.

Our car broke down in Switzerland en route to the Villa Fabbroni with the end result we turned up, by taxi, at 2.30 a.m. having got lost trying to find our way firstly to San Pollo and then to the Villa. The instructions told us that we were to turn left at the church onto a non-asphalted road and after 500 m we would find the Villa. After 2 km of driving thus up the road our taxi driver thought it was a mistake and turned back to the church. Back at the church we were lucky enough to bump into a neighbour returning late from a party. It was the correct road– so back we went along the steep, hair-pin road and past all the shadowy olive trees growing along the side of the dusty track. When we finally saw the lights of the Villa we were very relieved. It felt like we had arrived at the end of the world.
Not quite the end of the world but when seen in day-light the Villa is set amongst the most stunning Tuscan country-side surrounded by thick, lush woods and olive groves. With it being so isolated it is little wonder that the Villa Fabbroni was the favoured hunting spot of Italy’s nobility and a place to bring a beautiful mistress. The views are quite spectacular and the setting peaceful and relaxing. Added to all of this is the wonderful hospitality of Sergio and Stefano who were most gracious about having to stay awake until the early hours of the morning to let a bedraggled family from Belgium in. Throughout our two week stay both Sergio and Stefano were more than helpful.
The restaurant attached to the Villa is every bit as good as other reviewers say it is. An authentic four-course meal over-looking the hills as the sun sets is definitely a wonderful holiday experience. The apartments were spacious and comfortable. The Villa is also very well located in terms of day-trips to Florence, Sienna, San Gimignano and Moterregione. In spite of the rather unfortunate start to our holiday we had a wonderful break and can highly recommend a stay there.Would you recommend this property to a friend? Yes

I csn not say enough great things about our stay in the Botto e Bruno apartment in Montalcino. This place is a little gem! Andrea and Lisa Jane are wonderful, helpful hosts. The apartment was beautiful and very comfortable. We appreciated the initial breakfast supplies as well. The pool, view, garden and location are all fantastic. We will definitely recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a wonderful place to stay in Tuscany! 4 stars!!!!
