We had a family of 8 adults and thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Villa Cinzia. The views from every angle were more stunning than we had expected and the accommodations were very comfortable. The owner wants guests to appreciate the same enjoyment that her family enjoys when staying. She genuinely cares about how to make things better. We had two cars so that we could get into the countryside or into Florence. The drive to Piazza Michelangelo in Florence seemed to be the easiest choice for parking and location. Parking at the train station was more hectic. The local Osteria was a good choice for dinner when we didn't want to cook at the villa. I would recommend this villa to friends. We didn't use the pool or tennis courts, though we did enjoy a late afternoon cocktail hour near the pool.

On pouvait presque toucher au paradis! Installée sur le haut d’une grande vallée dans la Tavernelle Val Di Pesa en Toscane, cette maison nous offre une vue panoramique incroyable. Très bien située entre Florence, Sienne et San Gimignano. Nous nous organisions pour être revenus en fin de journée pour assister aux couchers de soleil tout simplement splendides. Maison impeccable, avec toutes les commodités nécessaires. Hôte très accueillant. Nous avons même eu droit à une envolée de montgolfières avant notre départ. Il est dur de quitter dans de telles circonstances!
Et soyez sans crainte quant aux frais d’électricité que vous aurez à défrayer; c’est selon votre utilisation durant la période où vous y séjournerez. Rien de majeur comparativement à cette belle opportunité de séjourner dans ce magnifique coin de pays!

We could almost touch the paradise! Installed in the upper of a majestic valley in Tavernelle Val Di Pesa in Toscana, this property offers an incredible panoramic view. Well situated between Firenze, Siena and San Gimignano. We planned to get back to the house by the end of the days to admire the gorgeous sunsets. Great house with all necessary amenities. Very welcoming host. The morning we were leaving, we had the chance to see just in front of us magnificent hot-air balloons! It has made it more difficult to leave this beautiful region!
And don’t be afraid of the electricity costs; it depends on your use during your stay. Nothing major compared to this opportunity to stay in this property!

We couldn't have been more pleased. The house, pool and grounds are beautiful. And, Aly the friendly farm dog watched for us constantly. Very convenient for day trips and wonderful for relaxing. I am in love with Montalcino. XXXXX

Our experience (16 people, extended family with children) at Il Salicone was very favourable. The villa is over 200 years old, so don't expect a modern house.
That said, it is huge, it has character to burn and the housekeeper Nicoletta is as welcoming and helpful as you can ask.
Do note the pool (which has a wonderful view on its own) is a fair distance from the house, which should have been noted on the description.
The location is superb, less than 10m from Pistoia (which has all amenities needed) and 25m from Florence on the highway.
All in all, a very pleasant experience which I would recommend.
