Dating back to the 12th century and restored in the 17th century by the noble family of Acciaioli, the Castle has a magnificent tower built on the model of the one of Palazzo Vecchio in Florence.
Montegufoni Castle is part of a large estate comprising vineyards and olive trees and is surrounded by the beautiful Chianti landscape. In the castle there are 39 apartments and a large garden with a nice swimming pool: the perfect spot to relax and have fun with your family and friends.
The Chianti Region is one of the most renowned charming area in Italy for its cultural, historical and enogastronomic traditions. This luxurious Castle offers to our guests incredible holiday experiences (on request) such as cooking lessons, event location, guided tours and more!
Distances from the villa: the small village of Montagnana V.P. with food shops 1 km, Montespertoli with all kinds of shops approx. 5 km, Florence 20 km, Pisa approx. 70 km.
A bus stop with busses to Florence is only a few meters from the castle away. Bikes and scooters for rent are available in Montespertoli.
At guests’ disposal: large and very charming terraced park furnished with garden furniture and table tennis, beautiful Italian gardens (dating back to the 18th century) with lemon trees and swimming-pool (12 x 6 m - open from 01/04 to 31/10). Reception open from 9.00 to 12.30 and from 14.30 to 18.30. The outbuildings of the castle as well were restored and turned into charming apartments. The castle is run by the Posarelli family. A nice restaurant offering nice recipes of the local Chianti tradition is open every night (from April to October except on Tuesdays). Laundry with shared washing-machine (€ 4,- / per washing). WI-FI internet connection available in some apartment, in the reception and restaurant area.

UNIT 2 (Ground Floor) - Living room with kitchen; a double bedroom; a double bedroom with a divisible bed; two bathrooms with shower. UNIT 3 (First floor) - Access via external staircase to the loggia with front door. The property covers a plot of about 20,000 square meters, only partially fenced, of which 5,000 square meters constitute the private garden consisting of large areas of natural lawn. A gravel driveway, lined with cypress trees, leads to the villa and the parking area. At the end of the garden there is a small forest and an olive grove. Next to the house, a tiled area is equipped with a living room, built-in barbecue and outdoor dining area, and is enlivened by aromatic plants.N.B.: Please note that the photo shoots are usually carried out in spring, so the colors and blooms of the gardens, lawns and parks may be different when you enter the villa.

The pool is located in the extreme part of the garden, easily accessible along the lawn. Rectangular shape, measuring 14x7 m and a depth of 1.50 m. Covered in natural stone and equipped with a Roman access staircase and internal lights. Chlorine and salt purification. Solarium area paved in gray natural stone, with sun loungers and umbrellas, two gazebos with sitting room and table in the lawn area, cold water shower. Interior:
The property has two floors. On the ground floor the entrance leads to the dining area with kitchenette, illuminated by large windows overlooking the pool and next to the elegant room with comfortable seating , smart TV and ornamental fireplace. On this floor is a double bedroom with ensuite shower bathroom. Going up to the first floor via the stone and iron staircase, you come to the master bedroom with double bed and ensuite bathroom with shower. Next to the pool is a pergola with a small living area.
Park:
Il Fienile is surrounded by a 1500 sq m garden, completely fenced and bordered along the perimeter by lush hedges to ensure privacy, especially in the pool area. Once past the entrance gate you come to the large white gravel parking area of the property, flanked by a hedge of laurel, cypresses, larches and pines which will provide shade for your cars. From here an easy flight of steps leads to the pool area and then, continuing on, to the house entrance. Outside the house is a lawned garden with the outdoor dining area, the barbecue area with a wood pizza oven, the beautiful swimming pool complete with furniture and, next to it, a shaded pergola with an attractive living area where you can relax with a cocktail.
Please notice that photos are taken in spring, therefore flower blossoming, and the colours of the gardens' grass could be different at the moment of your arrival at the villa.
Swimming Pool:
The swimming pool, set in the green lawn, offers guests a unique view of the rolling Pisan hills and the medieval town of Palaia. Set in front of the house, at a lower level, and just a few metres from the entrance, the rectangular pool has a recessed corner with Roman steps for access to the water and an electric cover. With a travertine border and lined in sand-coloured PVC, the pool measures 6 x 12 m. with a constant depth of 1.40 m and has salt purification and internal lighting. The surrounding solarium area in travertine is equipped with comfortable sunbeds shaded by two umbrellas and there is a solar-powered, hot-water shower. The pool is open from the last Saturday in April to the first Saturday in October.

Four charming apartments in a farmhouse (composed in total by 4 units) that was originally a watchtower during the war between the Florence and Siena republics. Today it is the guesthouse of a 16th century villa, where the property owners reside. The property is in a tranquil location at the center of a 12 hectare farm that produces wine and olive oil. At the same time it is just 350 m from the center of a small, charactaristic village where a bus can take you to Florence in just 20 minutes. Beautiful view of the countryside. Villa Pedone is situated on a quiet and secluded hillside, surrounded by breathtaking views of olive groves and vineyards. Although you will feel far away from the city, Lucca is only 10 minutes away by car. It is an ideal location, as you will see on the map, the city of Lucca is positioned centrally in the Tuscan region. It is aprox. only 15 km from the sea side and 10km from the mountains. It is surrounded by all the main cities of Tuscany, which are easily reachable also by train or bus.
The property is in San Concordio di Moriano, a small village in the countryside, 7km from Lucca city center.
The villa is surrounded by ancient olive groves and vineyards. It is also an historic area where once all the noble families built their summer estates to escape the heat and show off their wealth. Although it might seem like an isolated area, the village center is only 2km away, where it is possible to find a minimarket and a supermarket at 3km.

The garden surrounding the property is delimited by a 2m high wall, which surrounds three sides of the villa. The fourth side is delimited by a low fence to enable the view of the lower hills, of vineyards and olive groves, the swimming pool, with deck chairs, and the outdoor dining area are on this side, therefore you are able to have a beautiful view of the countryside while dining and swimming.
The Italian style garden is partly in grass and partly in pebble stones. The villa's façade is dominated by a palm tree.

The Experience
Casa Rosa is situated on the same estate as Villa Clara, a villa we have been succesfully renting for years, and used to be one of the farmers’ houses. The garden and swimming pool have been positioned on the opposite side of Villa Clara to assure total privacy. One of the rooms has facilities for disabled guests.
A yoga room is available; there is an additional fee for its use, payable locally.
There is a tennis club within walking distance of the house.
The helpful caretakers live on the estate, in a separate apartment.

The welcoming, comfortable terraced house "I Ciliegi" is located in a sunny, elevated position on a hill (470 m a.s.l.) in the characteristic, remote village of Riolo, ideal for detox lovers.
The guest will be able to privately enjoy: a swimming pool (4 x 2 m, depth 120 cm, open from May 1st to September 30), shower and toilet in the pool area, a 50 m2 terrace, garden furniture and barbecue, and a public parking on the street 50 meters far.
In the nearby town Bagni di Lucca (6 km distant, about 15 min by car) there are: a grocery store, supermarket, bar and restaurant 6 km away; the sandy beach "Versilia" 50 km away, the thermal pool "Bagni di Lucca" 6 km away (about 15 min by car).
