The villa is perfect for seeing the true Tuscan communities and every minute of the view is memorable. The local village of Castellina is the perfect spot to enjoy and is 10 minutes from the house. The only upgrades we would recommend would be to the mattresses and some larger pots in the kitchen.

A most perfect, peaceful place to stay and the pool was amazing - we used it every day. Close to many villages for day trips and just over an hour to Florence by train. Also close to several shops for supplies or restaurants if you wish to dine out - it was a magic two weeks and the villa was everything I hoped it would be.

Tegen gevallen Jullie schrijven eigen terras en prive tuin geen van beide waren daar geen tuin meubelen en. Geen prive tuin. Voor de rest was alles perfekt.
PS. Hadden Julllie dit geschreven op Jullie site hadden we waarschijnlijk niet geboekt.

Disappointing: You write it has its own terrace and private garden, neither were there, no garden furniture and no private garden. Everything else was perfect.
PS: if you had written this on the website, we probably would not have booked.
[Counter comment from the owner] To explain better: the outdoor area is exactly like you can see on the pictures - there is a bench, a small table and 2 sun chairs. The outdoor area is right in front of the apartment but however it is not a private space, the apartment is situated in a small hamlet.

Bardzo ładny i zadbany domek, wokoło mnóstwo pięknej zieleni, właścicielka przychodziła prawie codziennie czyścić basen ale to na plus, niestety minusem jest to ze właścicielka nie potrafi ani jednego słowa po angielsku więc ciężko było się dogadać, napewno polecę ten domek swoim znajomym.

Wunderschöne Lage mitten im Ort, trotzdem ruhig, da Terrasse und Pool Blick in die Toskana haben. Haus ist komplett eingerichtet, war bei unserer Ankunft sauber, riesige Terrasse, relativ kleiner Pool, sehr erfrischend, trotz warmer Temperaturen. Klimaanlage kostet extra, was bei dem teuren Wochenpreis inklusive sein sollte. Endreinigung mit 150 Euro steht in keinem Preisleistungsverhältnis.
Bei Ankunft eine Flasche Wasser und etwas Brot vorhanden, das haben wir in der Toscana bei einem anderen Anbieter ganz anders erlebt. Kühlschrank war gefüllt mit Wein, Schinken, Käse sowie frischen Obst und Gemüse, Brot sowie einer nicht angebrochenen Flasche Olivenöl und Balsamicoessig. Eine sehr nette Geste von unserem Schlüsselübergeber und Ansprechpartner, dass er uns zur Begrüßung in seiner Weinstube einen Prosecco ausgegeben hat und bei der Abreise eine schöne Flasche Rotwein.

We very much enjoyed our stay at Il Casolare. The villa was exactly as advertised and the owners were very nice. The kids absolutely loved the pool and the accommodations were perfect for 2 families (a total of 8 people).

This is a great property in the Tuscan countryside--perfect for families who want a very quiet, relaxing holiday. The units on the property are a little spread out, which is nice if you don't have them all rented. It makes it more comfortable as noise doesn't travel between the two. The bigger houses have great big outdoor spaces to use as well, which is nice. The wine they grow as well is FANTASTIC and it's super affordable! Definitely sign up for a wine tasting and even buy a case for while your'e there. The only things I would warn about are: 1) Ensure you have a vehicle - taxis are very expensive and not easy to book. 2) Be aware if you do book a cooking class with a larger group, not all will get to participate, it's more a demo. The dinner is delicious though! 3) The wifi doesn't reach beyond the pool area and even there, it's very spotty. This is not necessarily a bad thing though if you want to disconnect. We kind of found it nice. 4) I don't recommend you plan an event here though. I planned a birthday dinner here and it was a bigger event and it felt like the details were very last minute and took a lot of emails with questions and made me feel a bit like a burden as well. Again though, not an issue if you want to stay here! Just not the spot for your wedding. :) Book away!
