Would absolutely recommend il sole di vino to anyone. Everything is completed to a very high standard, no shortcuts have been taken. The apartment, gardens, pool, views were all fantastic. Martina & Lorenzo are super hosts, always on hand and nothing is every a problem.

My friends and I loved living at Casa Calise while vacationing in Siena. It was like stepping back in time with its iron gate entrance, big, old front door, beautiful tiled floors, large shuttered windows, high painted ceilings, stone staircase and charming outdoor patio. We appreciated the updated kitchen and bathrooms complete with walk-in showers. Location was excellent being close to city center, shops and restaurants. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend to others.

We rented this property for two weeks in late April and early May. The house is an amazing combination of historical Cortona architecture with contemporary interior design. We enjoyed lovely private side yard and garden daily. The house is located in the Poggio, one of oldest neighborhoods in Cortona. It faces a small park and is surrounded by the original convents. If you are interested in immersing yourself in the local culture, it is an ideal choice.
As others have stated, the walk into the dining and shopping areas of town is about 12-15 minutes, but is very steep. We are active and in our 70s, and managed the walk fine. The meandering narrow streets and open vistas to the valley below are stunning. The locals were very friendly. We loved it there.

Sehr schönes und gepflegtes Ferienhaus, gut ausgestattet und schön gelegen, mit wunderbarem Ausblick. Einen Stern Abzug gibt es nur wegen der wirklich schwierigen Zufahrt (sehr, sehr enge und steile Straße ohne Ausweichmöglichkeiten, mit größerem Auto jedes Mal eine Herausforderung).

La casa è perfettamente pulita e comoda. Gli spazi esterni sono ordinati e il nostro cane ha passato giorni felici scorrazzando per il grande prato. La piscina è molto bella e pulita. Il proprietario sig. Michele è di una gentilezza unica e ci ha viziati con doni inaspettati. Abbiamo passato una vacanza indimenticabile e sicuramente da ripetere.

Wir waren von Mitte April bis Mitte Mai in der Unterkunft La Casetta. Es war für uns einer der schönsten Orte, wo wir je gewesen sind. Der Gartenbereich, den wir für uns benutzen durften war perfekt zum Yoga machen, meditieren und entspannen. Wunderschön und natürlich angelegt. Das Häuschen war genauso wie beschrieben. Vielleicht sogar noch schöner. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt und wären gerne noch länger geblieben. Der Abschied viel uns schwer.
