The foundations of Villa Medicea Lo Sprocco date back to the 1400s, commissioned by Lorenzo and Giovanni de' Medici, sons of Pier Francesco, and later sold to Taddeo Ducci in 1494. A cornerstone of the ancient Medici lineage, the Villa incorporates an 11th-century Ubaldina tower and was chosen by Lorenzo the Magnificent as a hunting lodge. After passing through the Gherardi family, the property was acquired by the Bolognese de' Bianchi family. Major restorations were initiated in 1898 by Count Filippo Sassoli de' Bianchi to restore its 15th-century appearance, despite significant 18th-century refurbishments, including the still-consecrated Chapel dated 1729. The queen of breakfast. Her cakes are among the best reviewed aspects of the villa. They are homemade and made early in the morning, just before the customers arrive in the salon near the kitchen. You will be greeted by an unbeatable scent of sweet cakes.

If you book a holiday at Casale Aiola you will find yourself immersed in a modern farmhouse and forestry farm, surrounded by greenery and set in the total tranquillity of the hills on the border between Tuscany and Umbria, among age-old woods and picturesque valleys. Casale Aiola is an old stone farmhouse divided into two parts. In one part of the house lives the owner who, with his discreet presence, will be a sure reference point for any need.
The farmhouse is located about 25 km from the beautiful Cortona, in Tuscany and about 15 km from the village of Trestina, in Umbria. You can do your shopping in either Cortona or Trestina, both of which have shops, supermarkets and services.
From here you have easy access to green Umbria, with its small villages nestled in the lush hills and bucolic landscapes of Lake Trasimeno, Perugia is only 60 km away.
Similarly, once you have reached Cortona, the splendid towns and cities of southern Tuscany will open up for you to discover. From Cortona to the farmhouse the road is perhaps a little long, even though it is all paved. But once you are there you will be rewarded with the absolute tranquillity of the place.
In our opinion Casale Aiola is definitely suitable for groups of families with children. The large green space around the house is perfect for the little ones to run and play in the middle of nature. Also available, in front of the house, is a children's swimming pool (size m. 4x8 - depth 0.60 m. - open from 15 May to 30th September), table tennis, table football, children's games and a bowling green. Pets are welcome (extra charge could be required).
For adults and children there is a large private swimming pool (size 9x16 m. -depth 1,20 m. completely fenced - open from 15 May to 30th September) with bathroom with shower and a small gazebo with fridge to cool down on hot summer days and the tennis court.

The 8 bedroom Villa Sant’Angelo is immersed in the enchanting Tuscany hills. It’s an old country manor which once belonged to the noble family of Conti Ghezzi who loved to spend their holidays here.
Recently restored it has managed to maintain its original charm thanks to the rare finishings: antique wooden beams, terracotta tiles, stone fireplaces in the large rooms, choice of colours and the very large illuminated environment.
The furniture has been carefully chosen, both functional and comfortable, but distinguishable with the elegant Tuscany classical style furniture which can be found in most homes today.

The minimum stay requirement at Villa Ginevra is 7 nights with arrivals and departures on Saturdays. A security deposit of 800 euros is required, payable in cash or by valid credit card, though a different amount may be requested for extended holiday periods or other particular circumstances as determined by the property. Check-in and check-out arrangements follow the weekly Saturday to Saturday schedule. The villa welcomes dogs at an additional weekly fee per animal. The property enforces a water consumption policy whereby, in case of water shortage issues in the area, a limit may be established for consumption included in the rental price, with usage beyond this threshold charged at 5 euros per cubic meter to discourage wastage while ensuring sufficient water for normal holiday needs. The swimming pool operates from 17/05 to 27/09, and outside these dates it may occasionally be opened for an additional fee with at least 4 weeks advance notice required before arrival. Pool heating requires similar advance booking and is not available for last minute reservations made less than 3 weeks before arrival. In case of event use of the accommodation, customized pricing applies.

Beautiful house dating back to the end of the 18th century comprising 6 welcoming apartments. This property is situated on the hills surrounding Volterra and enjoys amazing views of the Tuscan landscape. All of the 6 units have been recently restored and are furnished in a rustic Tuscan style. The well-groomed outside areas provide gazebos, nice paths, fruit trees and a large pool with open-air shower and sun-beds. The property owners, who are very friendly people, live only a short distance away.
The access to the property is via an unpaved but well-maintained road.
Distances: Volterra con general stores 10 km away, the beautiful medieval town of San Gimignano 18 km, Pisa (airport) approx. 60 km away, Florence approx. 70 km away.
The beaches of Cecina are in a 1-hour drive.
At guests’ disposal: large furnished garden with swimming-pool (15 x 7 m – depth 1,2 m), open-air shower (cold water), changing room with bathroom, shared barbecue.
