From the windows a great view on the suggestive landscape of the Valdichiana valley hills, where you can catch glimpses on beautiful farmhouses, nineteenth-century villas and medieval hamlets dominated by mighty castles. On the ground floor of the house occasionally lives the property caretaker.
An old farmhouse of particular charm. The wooden ceilings, the terracotta-tiled floors and the original old, rustic furnishings, give to the house a very particular charm of ancient, simple and essential things.

Old farmhouse in typical Tuscan style. Part of an old farmhouse with characterful ceilings with wooden beams and red brick arches, situated on a sweet hill. The house takes its name from the ancient river 'Clanis', which crossed the Valdichiana. During the Roman Empire the river had to be dammed since its water range often caused flooding to the city of Rome. This dyke led the Valdichiana to become a marshland which was then reclaimed during 1700 by Vittorio Fossombroni and is today a fertile valley, rich in cultivated fields, vineyards and olive groves.
The nearby village of Foiano della Chiana. The village of Foiano della Chiana, endowed with every kind of service and shops, is only 2 km far from the house. Casa Clanis is furnished in the typical Tuscan style, which perfectly fits in with the house building characteristics.

So it is possible to walk to the restaurant or to do some shopping, and in the meantime admire the landscape of the surrounding countryside with its silver olive groves, green vineyards and cultivated fields.

Ancient stone farmhouse located close to the village of Lucignano which, with its peculiar elliptic shape circumscribed by a perfectly preserved circle of walls, is one of the most interesting examples of medieval town planning. In the village, reachable also on foot with a nice walk on a countryside path around 1,5 km long, there are shops, services and typical, cosy restaurants where to taste the most famous Tuscan dishes. Moreover during the whole year Lucignano is the scene of renowned folk and cultural events.

Il Gorgo is an old manor house which was already mentioned in the historical cartography of the XVII century Valdichiana, when it was part of a wide farm to which it has belonged until recent days. Il Querciolo is well positioned allowing a 360° view of the surrounding valley that, in every season, offers a magical alternating of colours: the bright green of spring, the golden yellow of the ripe wheat in summer and, in autumn, the intense ochre of the earth that has just been ploughed and is ready for sowing.
The swimming pool and the many services. There is a beautiful pool (size 6x12 m, depth 0,80-2,00 m) near the house in a panoramic and sunny position, equipped with sunbeds, deckchairs and sun umbrellas. The large gardens with garden furniture, a wood oven, a barbecue, a small lake where you can fish, a play area for children, mountain bikes and a common room where, on request, the owner will serve breakfast, are at guests' disposal.
