This property was restored in 2008 and turned into a nice, small villa providing comfortable interiors. Outside guests can enjoy use of a large, 1-hectare garden with fenced-in pool. In close proximity there is a small river and a lake offering sport fishing facilities. Horse-back riding facilities approx. 500 meter away.
A secondary road connecting the small towns of Certaldo and Marcialla passes at the back of the house.
The railway station in Certaldo allows easy access to Florence, Siena, Empoli, Pisa…
A pizzeria is 250 m from the house away.

Every apartment has its independent entrance to guarantee privacy and peace to guests who stay there. A swimming pool is at guests' disposal as well as a wide garden to enjoy a beautiful panoramic view over the countryside of the Chianti Area.

You will find Villa Scianellone 1.5 km from the town of Torrita di Siena, a characteristic and turreted medieval village. In the village you will find shops, restaurants and services of all kinds. If you like walking, the village can also be reached on foot, and we certainly recommend spending an evening there, for dinner out or for an aperitif in one of its ancient and particular piazzas.
In a few minutes by car you can reach the beautiful villages of Montefollonico (10 km) and Montepulciano (12 km), which are well worth a visit and a stop, where you can taste the typical dishes and above all the prestigious and renowned wines of the area such as the 'Nobile di Montepulciano'.
Villa Scianellone is surrounded by lush, silvery olive groves, vineyards and meadows that are part of the property. Every day offers a new opportunity to enjoy something different: relax in the panoramic garden, take a refreshing dip in the swimming pool (8x4 meters, 1.20 meters deep, fenced – open from May 1st to September 30th), or engage in exciting matches of volleyball or tennis on the small multi-purpose sports ground (18x9 meters). You can also enjoy table tennis, billiards, or foosball for some friendly competition. Children can play in the children's playground next to the swimming pool. After dinner in the gazebo next to the pool you will be delighted by the sunsets, which offer different lights and colours every day.
You will certainly not be inclined to leave the house, but as there are beautiful towns and cities rich in art nearby, we would advise you not to miss the opportunity to visit them. Torrita di Siena, Montepulciano and Pienza are all within a maximum of 20 km, Siena is 50 km away.

The owners of Borgo Mulignone live on site and are available to guests for any problems or to recommendations for activities and places to visit.
The strategic location of the property allows guests not only to enjoy nature and the Tuscan Countryside, but also to easily reach the most beautiful cities of the Region such as Siena, Arezzo, Florence and the characteristic villages of San Gimignano, Colle Val d'Elsa, Monteriggioni, Casole d'Elsa and the whole Chianti area.
At guests' disposal: large green areas, three swimming pools of which one is very large (20 x 10 m - maximum depth 1.4 m), a smaller one (10 x 5 m - maximum depth 1 m) and a smaller one equipped with a corner with hydromassage (8 x 5 m - maximum depth 1 m), barbecue, outdoor area with children's games, internet connection via wi-fi. Four charming apartments in a farmhouse (composed in total by 4 units) that was originally a watchtower during the war between the Florence and Siena republics. Today it is the guesthouse of a 16th century villa, where the property owners reside. The property is in a tranquil location at the center of a 12 hectare farm that produces wine and olive oil. At the same time it is just 350 m from the center of a small, charactaristic village where a bus can take you to Florence in just 20 minutes. Beautiful view of the countryside. Each apartment has its own large, private outdoor space, and the beautiful, enclosed, shared pool sits among olive trees, overlooking the country landscape (85 m from the house). Upon request, it is possible to visit the garden of the main villa, with its ancient interconnecting pools fed by a natural spring and age-old lemon trees. The apartments are furnished in simple, rustic style. Access to the property is via a 250 m unpaved but well-maintained road.
