5. John Fodera's Tuscan Vines
It would be remiss of us not to mention a wine-specific blogger, right?
Well, John Fodera's blog is an excellent resource for those interested in learning more about wine in Tuscany. Tuscan Vines was founded in 2010 and has become a leading authority on Tuscan and Italian wine in the United States. John reviews wines, interviews wine-makers, posts interesting anecdotes from the history of wine and recipes for Tuscan dishes, as well. Wine is an important part of the Tuscan dining experience so be sure to check out this incredible blog!
6. Benedetta Vitali
Last (but not least), we have Benedetta Vitali. While not strictly a food “blogger”, Chef Benedetta Vitali has lived and worked all her life in Florence, Italy and her website is fantastic. In 1979, she co-founded the popular restaurant Cibrèo with Fabio Picchi. Then, in 1999, Benedetta opened the trattoria Zibibbo, that placed an emphasis on fresh produce from nearby small farms and reimagined classic dishes. Benedetta has written two cookbooks, offers cooking classes on a regular basis and posts recipes on her website, organised by course of the meal. As she has been a chef for decades and was born and bred in Tuscany, there are few better resources online or in person. Just find a luxury villa in Florence and check out her site or, maybe attend a class, to get an authentic and authoritative voice on Tuscan cuisine!
