The Casa was a lovely accommodation set in an very charming village. The village had all the things we needed and everyone we met was helpful and friendly. Due to an illness in the family we were unable to get the cooking lessons that were advertised, however the owners were very friendly and thoughtful. We were there in the fall and it was cool enough that we needed to use the heater to take the chill off. This could get expensive if needed throughout the day. The rooms were large and all the amenities needed were there.

We ended up getting a bigger place than that onebut managed by the same person (a 2 bedroom 1 bath with a terrace and panoramic view also). The place was very clean and well equiped. It was a bit cold since we went in late October BUT the heat was included so one the heaters on it was fine. It was very quiet and the bed are very fonfortable. I would defenitly stay there again! Cortona is an adorable town and perfectly located if you want to spend time in the wine region of Montepulciano and Montalcino BUT is more lively in the low season that the other towns. Try the wine bar at the entrance of town and ask for Daniello- he is fantastic and will advice you well on which wine and cheese to taste and buy. =)

Wonderful place to stay and see all of Tuscany. We stayed 9 weeks and had friends join us throughout the entire time. Can not say enough about the Villa and the people who took care of us.

[English translation courtesy of Easy Reserve] Lovely little house, nice location, nice landlord (but linguistic barrier). For a relaxing holiday far from the usual flow of tourists, yet close to Siena and the seaside: it's a good hint!
Small drawback: bathroom very small and impractical, heating partially defective _ in its place there is the fireplace-use (wood on site at no additional cost) - very romantic. Annoying: wireless Internet access will be charged extra (10 € / week) - but the connection is extremely susceptible to interference and super slow - that is actually not to be used. But on holiday you have not to be always online (otherwise do not book it.
All in all very nice!
Small hint: go to the Restaurant RINTOCCO in Cinigiano: it is worth to be visited!

We stayed in the Castellacio 1 for a week in mid-October. Prior to our arrival, the owner and his assistant (Leonardo and Roxanna) were very responsive to information we requested. We arrived later than the check-in time but they were happy to wait for us. The place was very clean, exactly as the property description in the website and in the pictures and pretty much offered a peaceful respite overlooking the lovely vineyard and olive plantation. We loved the pool and the barbecue area. We were also able to use the fireplace and wood was readily available. Our kitchen was well equipped with all the necessary kitchen utensils. The villa is about 15-20 minutes away from the grocery and gas station. It is also very centrally located since we drove around to small towns and for wine tasting in the Chianti area, Sienna, Montalcino and also had our touristy itineraries going to Pisa, Lucolena and Firenze (by train). Roxanna provided us with maps, suggestions of nice places to see, how to get around different places and also places to eat which are 10 minutes away from the villa. I would highly recommend Casa de Popolo in Lucolena which was also recommended by Leonardo. He was also kind to call and make reservations for our dinner in the nearby restaurants. We also loved the touch of having your own mini wine bar in the villa (at very reasonable prices) plus the welcome wine gift. We also ended up buying wines produced by Castellaccio because they are really good.
For the very reasonable price that we paid for our stay in this charming villa and the warm welcome from Leonardo and Roxanna, we definitely would go to Tuscany and stay again in this villa.Would you recommend this property to a friend? Yes

[English translation courtesy of Easy Reserve] The region of Grosseto is not so much overrun by tourists. The people is polite and helpful.
The accommodation was also good. We were with 9 people in the apartment, thus it was fully occupied.
Some days it was pretty cool because of the wind. Unfortunately we could not use the pool, as it was too cold.Would you recommend this property to a friend? Yes

A beautiful house both inside and out. The renovation has been done in exceptionally good taste. The large downstairs lounge areas is especially charming. The house is situated in very attractive, lush and quiet surroundings at the end of a 1 1/2 km drive on gravel road. It is also a very easy drive to Sam Gimignano, Volterra, Siena etc. All in all perfect! And it was a useful opportunity to learn to make superior espresso on the stove top coffee pot and use the ice cream machine to make gelato. Thanks a lot! Cass & Jesper (Sydney, Australia)

Nice place and good value for money accommodation. The cooking course was really good and useful.
Restaurant nearby in Orgia is also worth to visit - great local place and meal.

What a fantastic place to stay. Charming, private, with exceptional views. It was perfect. And, being a quick 10-minute drive to San Gimignano was icing on the cake!
