The owners' apartment, located on the top floor, has a fully independent entrance and the owners, described as very reserved yet genuinely helpful, do not share the park or the pool with guests. Positioned just a few hundred metres from the centre of Cortona, Casa del Sole is pleasantly immersed in the surrounding green hillside, commanding sweeping views over the valley below. Guests benefit from complimentary Wi-Fi internet access throughout their stay, as well as private parking on the property. The estate extends across approximately 1,500 square metres, divided between a lush garden and terraced areas planted with olive trees, offering a generous yard in which to unwind and explore.

The park surrounding Casa del Sole spans approximately 1,000 square metres of the estate, of which around 500 square metres are dedicated to a beautifully maintained garden, with the remainder given over to terraced land planted with olive trees. The grounds are home to an impressive variety of mature trees, including oaks, holm oaks, linden, cypress, plum, and fig trees, creating a rich and shaded natural environment. Throughout the garden, carefully tended shrubs of viburnum, rosemary, and spiraea, along with bamboo and colourful potted flowers, embellish the various corners of the outdoor space. In a secluded area of the garden, a charming open-air lounge has been arranged with comfortable cushioned armchairs and a small rattan table, offering an ideal spot for relaxing in absolute peace. At the back of the house, a pergola is furnished with a table and chairs and equipped with a barbecue, providing a delightful setting for alfresco dining. Please note that the property photographs were taken in spring, and therefore the flowering and the colour of the garden grass may differ at the time of your arrival.
The non-heated swimming pool is situated approximately 20 metres from the house, in a lower position accessible via a downhill path with wide steps. Open from the last Saturday of April to the first Saturday of October, the pool is fully fenced and rectangular in shape, measuring 10 x 4 metres with a depth ranging from 1 to 2.20 metres. Access to the water is via Roman steps, and the pool is lined in PVC and purified using a chlorine system. It is illuminated by spotlights both outside and inside the water. The surrounding solarium area is equipped with sunbeds, chaises longues, and a sun umbrella, and a cold water shower is available at one side of the solarium.

Villa Fabi is a delightful little farmhouse built entirely of local stone and situated in the beautiful Tuscan countryside not far from Cortona. The interior has terracotta tiled floors and tiled ceilings with exposed beams. The house is simply furnished but with attention to detail. The isolated position allows guests to enjoy peaceful and relaxing holidays, in perfect harmony with the natural surroundings. For those who so wish it is possible to organize pleasant excursions to Lake Trasimeno and to visit the historical villages of Cortona, Montepulciano, Pienza and Chiusi, just a few kilometres away or to go further afield to the famous cities of art like Siena, Florence, Perugia and Rome.
Interior:
The house consists of a single floor with attic room. The main entrance gives directly on to the living/dining area with fireplace and to the kitchen which has access to the outside through a French window and to a bathroom with shower (and washing machine). The sleeping area is composed of three double rooms and a bathroom with shower. From the entrance hall leading to the sleeping area a narrow wooden staircase (not suitable for the elderly and small children) goes up to the attic room with 2 single beds and a bathroom with tub.

With its hilltop position, Villa Fabi enjoys a breathtaking panorama over Cortona and the Val di Chiana. The villa is immersed in an olive grove of 8.000 sq m, completely enclosed, at the edge of an old oak wood belonging to the same owners. The guests can go into the woods through a small gate for pleasant walks. All the land around the villa is terraced with stone walls and has shade from the many old olive trees that characterize the property. Outside the kitchen French window, on the more panoramic side of the house, the owners have placed a gazebo equipped with table and chairs so that guests can organize alfresco meals in all tranquillity.Please notice that photos are taken in spring, therefore flower blossoming, and the colours of the gardens' grass could be different at the moment of your arrival at the villa.
Swimming Pool:
The pool is open from the last Saturday of April until the first Saturday of October. Situated about 10 m from the house, it is rectangular in shape and measures 9,30 x 4 m with a depth varying from 1,20 to 1,50 m. It has a sandstone border, PVC facing and Roman steps to enter the water. The solarium area, surrounded by a lawn, has porphyry flooring and is equipped with sun loungers. A outdoor shower powered by solar energy is situated near the pool. Beneath the pool is the technical room and a large changing room.
