Nice property with pool situated near the beautiful medieval hamlet of San Donato in Poggio, half-way between Florence and Siena. This property comprises 2 comfortable apartments all of which recently restored and tastefully furnished. Beautiful vineyards and olive groves surround the estate and produce excellent Chianti Classico wine and olive oil (available for the clients to be tasted and purchased). This property is situated among green hills but at the same time it is very close to the small town of San Donato (walking distance) offering nice restaurants, pizzerias and all main services.
The access to the property is via an unpaved but well-maintained road suitable for any kind of car.
Distances: San Donato in Poggio with all kinds of shops 500 m away, Greve in Chianti 15 km, the charming medieval town of San Gimignano 18 km, Florence 20 km, Siena 35 km away, Pisa (airport) 95 km away, Arezzo approx. 100 km, Cortona 140 km away. Rome is approx. 300 km away.

Dating back to the 12th century and restored in the 17th century by the noble family of Acciaioli, the Castle has a magnificent tower built on the model of the one of Palazzo Vecchio in Florence.
Montegufoni Castle is part of a large estate comprising vineyards and olive trees and is surrounded by the beautiful Chianti landscape. In the castle there are 39 apartments and a large garden with a nice swimming pool: the perfect spot to relax and have fun with your family and friends.

Distances from the villa: the small village of Montagnana V.P. with food shops 1 km, Montespertoli with all kinds of shops approx. 5 km, Florence 20 km, Pisa approx. 70 km.
A bus stop with busses to Florence is only a few meters from the castle away. Bikes and scooters for rent are available in Montespertoli.
At guests’ disposal: large and very charming terraced park furnished with garden furniture and table tennis, beautiful Italian gardens (dating back to the 18th century) with lemon trees and swimming-pool (12 x 6 m - open from 01/04 to 31/10). Reception open from 9.00 to 12.30 and from 14.30 to 18.30. The outbuildings of the castle as well were restored and turned into charming apartments. The castle is run by the Posarelli family. A nice restaurant offering nice recipes of the local Chianti tradition is open every night (from April to October except on Tuesdays). Laundry with shared washing-machine (€ 4,- / per washing). The property which situated approx 1 km from Montaione and rented as a single environment of about 300 sqm, is made up of three apartments, two of which communicate with each other and one detached in a small outbuilding. In front of the main building, we find an enchanting "party room", all finished in wood and surrounded by large windows, equipped with table and chairs, armchairs, wood-burning oven, barbecue and stove for cooking. This party room can be booked on request, with an on site supplement payment.

Carefully restored to preserve its historic soul, the property features terracotta floors, beamed ceilings, and wrought-iron details that speak to its rich rural heritage. Set within a fully fenced garden of approximately 3,000 sqm, the villa is surrounded by vineyards, woodland, and the gently undulating Tuscan countryside. Guests benefit from on-site parking for up to 3 cars, conveniently located beside the annexe along a cypress-lined driveway. Wi-Fi internet connectivity is available throughout the property, ensuring guests remain connected during their stay. The expansive yard, with its lawns on several levels, stone terraces, and lush Mediterranean vegetation, provides ample space for relaxation and outdoor enjoyment. The owners' house is adjacent to the property, separated by a fence; they do not reside there on a daily basis but remain available if needed.

The garden at Villa Loredana is a beautifully landscaped outdoor sanctuary extending over approximately 3,000 sqm, with lawns arranged across several levels connected by stone steps and framed by hedges, cypress trees, and Mediterranean plantings. A shaded dining area beneath a large tree invites al fresco meals in the open air, while a stone terrace adorned with colourful potted plants provides an elegant setting for relaxing moments. A brick barbecue positioned near the pool area is ideal for outdoor cooking and convivial gatherings. At the far end of the garden, a decorative pond adds a tranquil and picturesque finishing touch to the landscape. Please note that the photographs of the property were taken in spring, and therefore the blossoming of flowers and the colour of the garden grass may differ at the time of your arrival.
The pool area is situated on a slightly lower level than the main house and is accessed via a tiled path. The main swimming pool, which is non-heated, measures 12 x 6 metres with a variable depth ranging from 1.20 to 1.40 metres. It is rectangular in shape, fitted with a PVC lining, chlorine purification system, internal lighting, and a metal ladder for access. Adjacent to it, a dedicated children's pool measures 6 x 3 metres with a constant depth of 0.50 metres, making it perfectly safe for younger guests. Both pools are bordered by a light stone solarium furnished with sunbeds, umbrellas, small tables, and ornamental features. A shower is also available within the pool area. The pools are open from the last Saturday in April to the first Saturday in October.

Air conditioning is available in the bedrooms and in the living room of the main farmhouse.
