Dating back to the 12th century and restored in the 17th century by the noble family of Acciaioli, the Castle has a magnificent tower built on the model of the one of Palazzo Vecchio in Florence.
Montegufoni Castle is part of a large estate comprising vineyards and olive trees and is surrounded by the beautiful Chianti landscape. In the castle there are 39 apartments and a large garden with a nice swimming pool: the perfect spot to relax and have fun with your family and friends.
The Chianti Region is one of the most renowned charming area in Italy for its cultural, historical and enogastronomic traditions. This luxurious Castle offers to our guests incredible holiday experiences (on request) such as cooking lessons, event location, guided tours and more!
Distances from the villa: the small village of Montagnana V.P. with food shops 1 km, Montespertoli with all kinds of shops approx. 5 km, Florence 20 km, Pisa approx. 70 km.
A bus stop with busses to Florence is only a few meters from the castle away. Bikes and scooters for rent are available in Montespertoli.
At guests’ disposal: large and very charming terraced park furnished with garden furniture and table tennis, beautiful Italian gardens (dating back to the 18th century) with lemon trees and swimming-pool (12 x 6 m - open from 01/04 to 31/10). Property Compignano Barn is a nice stone building (140 sq m) that includes WiFi internet. The property can accommodate up to four people comfortably in two bedrooms with two bathrooms. Compignano Barn is located 920 m (3009 ft) from Compignano, Italy and only 11 km (7 mi) from Lucca.
The property is located in the Compignano Estate. The Estate includes two other residences sharing a 6mx12m swimming pool and a large garden full of olive groves and fruit trees.
Please note also that the downhill road leading to the house is not suitable for very nervous drivers.
