We had wonderful vacations in Pancole. It is kind of countryside paradise. The only things I would find a bit complicated were driving directions. But the location itself is absolutly superb. Definitely we will come back again.

Casa di Vignolo is our Italian home. This was our fourth visit (for three weeks). We have come to love the village of Pergine, the beautiful countryside, awakening to the church bells...and the pigeons!! Most important Marina and Francesco Gren have become family to us and we love their company, and Marina's cooking. Altogether, a paradise to return to again and again.

We just completed a 2 week vacation at the property and thoroughly enjoyed it and the location. It is located on a very scenic hill overlooking the water and provides a nice combination of privacy and access to the surrounding areas. We spent a lot of time traveling to cities in Liguria and Tuscany and enjoyed living as an "Italian Native" with access to a large part of Northern Italy. We do plan to return in a couple of years and will use this same reservation service (for the third time.)

Staying at Il Calcinaio was a definite highlight of our trip to Italy. Our family of five, with three young children, was very comfortable here and the location was perfect for exploring Tuscany. The property was impeccable and was located exactly as described in the listing. Everything of interest in Florence was within walking distance. The owner was gracious and punctual and a pleasure to deal with.
