Our stay in Tenuta Ripalte was a great one. We got lots more than we expected. We had expected a simple cottage with a shared pool. Infact the cottage was located in a large 'Resort' type property which has individual self catering cottages, as well as a small hotel . We had all the freedom of the self catering holiday but enjoyed the services offered by the resort such as yoga, diving courses, kids club etc.. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming which made a big difference to our stay. Be aware however when booking to check the distance away from the pool. We have 2 small children and our original cottage was a 15minute gravel road drive away from the main facilities including the pool, which we had not expected. The property is very large, but you do not have the feeling of being in a busy holiday resort at all. The area is outstanding for its beauty and nature and a mountain bikers paradise. Also be aware of the 12km gravel road to reach the property. Overall an excellent holiday, we would return!

We stayed in Cipresso for two nights. The property is lovely, well maintained and in a quiet, scenic location at the bottom of a valley. Reception was warm and staff very helpful. The kitchen was more than adequate for cooking, although we didn't use it much. Not every room had a window with an insect screen though, which I thought was essential as mosquitoes were pretty common in this part of the country in summer.
The coordinates given on the website are not entirely accurate, as our GPS led us to another property. Better to follow the road directions and look for Casa Bandini signs - these are, fortunately, quite prominently placed on the road. The locals in the surrounding areas are not very familiar with the name Antico Borgo San Lorenzo (we had to ask for directions a couple of times) but everyone we asked knew about Casa Bandini.
Overall, a lovely villa - I really wished we had more time there!

We enjoyed our stay in Camporempoli very much! The villa is beautiful, the view impressive, the landscape really nice and the house and garden very well cared for by Marta and the gardener. We enjoyed the pool and also cooking was easy because of the well equipped kitchen. The service was perfect, there is nothing left, you could wish for.
The only thing is, that the road to the house is getting worse overtime and you should recommend four-wheel-drive cars.
We also enjoyed the cooking of Marie Zarro very much and she was nice to talk with and explain her dishes and how she made it.
So in the end everybody´s impression was one of pleasure and luxury and could be repeated in the future.

Beautiful setting, rolling hills, miles of vineyards and olive trees. The villa is small but more than suitable for us, as a family of three. Plenty of space outside for our 2 year old to play. The swimming pool was in excellent condition, a good size and well looked after. Unfortunately for us as it was May and the weather was not good so we could not enjoy the pool as it was just too cold! Villa was clean and the owners/family were friendly and happy to help. Roberto, the daughter, spoke a little english. We wished we could have spoken Italian to learn more about the history of the vineyard etc. This holiday was one of our best, good food in local restaurants, easy location to travel from to get to the cities; Sienna and Florence. Would strongly recommend visiting Certaldo Alto (old town) - lovely, historical town.
