A very beautiful get away tucked away in the hills of Montaione. Stunning scenery. Both Luigi and Nada, the owners are extremely welcoming. We arrived with three kids in tow, ages ranging from 9 to 14 and their Granny. Each one of our group was delighted with our stay and found the accomodation more than satisfactory. The apartment was well equipped and traditional in style. Great care was given, all windows had netting to prevent the Mosquitos and flies from annoying us. On arrival we even found complimentary wine and olive oil which they produce themselves. Very nice! We would recommend this beautiful spot to anyone looking for a peaceful and quiet get away.

we really enjoyed our stay at Giovanna vacanze …. it was a very pleasant surprise. the gardens are lovely and the view outstanding …. the family were VERY hospitable and the host gave us a bottle of red on arrival AND departure! we had the apartment that accommodated our family of four however we had no balcony which is probably the only thing i would have liked so we could enjoy the view more from our apartment! the cost for five days was reasonable and it was also lovely to be in a quieter town but only a stones throw from san gimignano!

Amazing villa. So relaxing. The villa got very hot during the night and as we were aware how expensive energy costs were we suffered the nighttime heat which was not pleasantt and resulted in us not getting much sleep. The owners need to make the villa more noticeable from the roadside. We passed it twice without realising as there was no visible sign from the roadside. Not a pleasant experience combined with hillside driving! But having said all of that we had an amazing relaxing time.

Villa La Rocca was a perfect vacation. We brought our teenage daughters and had several friends come and stay with us. We made dinners, drank wine and just hung out. The location is very central and the view is spectacular. Lucca is a lovely city, so don't forget to visit. The house was clean and met all of our needs, so we were very comfortable spending lots of time there.
