Our stay at the villa (in Chianti 1) was absolutely fabulous and we would return again in a heartbeat. The hamlet is picturesque, nestled in the Tuscan hills- ideally located to explore the countryside and less than an hour (by car) from Florence and 30 min from Sienna. The villa is extremely well appointed and immaculately decorated, with views across the local vineyards in all directions. The nearest town, Castellina in Chinati (8 km away) is very well heeled with excellent restaurants. This villa is the perfect place to retreat for a Tuscan holiday! Kate, London

La Torre Antica is a working vineyard and olive farm in an idyllic country setting in Tuscany. The effort to drive down the chlaky bumpy road from the main road is well worth while. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. The pool is of a reasonable size and well maintained. The owner, Andrea, is a charming man with a great sense of humour. What the original information did not do justice to was the evening meal on offer. A full Italian 4-course meal with the owner's excellent wine available and each evening a bonus glass of his vin santo. A different and delicious menu on each of our seven nights. Our only regret was not being able to drive back home with a few cases! Something we'll put right in the future.

This is a wonderful custom property within the walls of Montalcino. Its location makes you feel like you are in the hills outside the city - plenty of quiet and greenery! Fabulous individual self-catering suite - with beautiful landscpaing and a great pool. Lisa and Andrea the managers are fantastic and take care of everything - even providing breakfast! We will definitely stay here again!

We arrived at this beautiful holiday home and found that it was even better than the pictures. we wanted a quiet and relaxing holiday for our family of 9 and Al Fanucchi was more than we could imagine. It accommodated all of us very comfortably and it was an excellent location to visit the various sites you may want to visit in Tuscany. It was exceptionally clean and tidy and kept this way with the help of the Maid who came 2 x each week.
The owners greeted us and were exceptionally friendly and most helpful if needed - they did not impose on our holiday.
We were very sad to leave and would highly recommend Al Fanucchi for relaxing holiday - with the capabilty of seeing the sites.
5* from all of us - which included teenagers.

Our family of 4 loved our stay in Orfeo this September. A car is virtually essential to stay here, which we hadn't realised initially, although our host Pino generously offered to drive us to the supermarket when we arrived by taxi. He also made a couple of good restaurant suggestions on the nights we didn't cook and we particularly loved "Le Corte". Additionally, we needed a doctor appointment unexpectedly & Pino was extremely helpful. The property is secluded and quiet, offering a wonderful pool and beautiful gardens. Orfeo was well-equipped, everything worked and the beds were fabulous. Beware of the mosquitoes as not all windows or doors have screens. We enjoyed several daytrips, with Cinque Terre about 1 hour away & Pisa even closer. The village of Volterra was fabulous, and of course Lucca itself is sublime. We highly recommend this property & wish we could have stayed much longer than a week. Our only gripe is the extra payment for cleaning. We feel the price should be all-inclusive.
