Located 8km from the renowned wine town of Montepulciano and 36km from Montalcino in the heart of the famously beautiful Orcia Valley, Villa Pianoia is surrounded by the most breath-taking Tuscan scenery. The iconic rolling green hills of the region, often draped romantically in fog, the winding roads lined by proud cypress trees, the forests and lush farmlands, and the hilltop towns and pretty farmhouses that define the Tuscan countryside spread out all around this property and can be enjoyed from the expansive gardens.
Said gardens are beautifully manicured with ample spaces that are perfectly set up to dine or lounge al fresco while taking in those astounding views. There is a hot tub set on the lawn, overlooking the valley below, with deck chairs and atmospheric lighting for your enjoyment and relaxation. Formal gardens with carefully maintained topiary is to the front of the house. An old stable displays historic farming tools and has a sweet little herb and flower garden in front with an outdoor sofa and armchairs around a table to create a perfect area to catch up over a glass of wine. To the front of the house there is also a long table next to the formal garden for elegant meals al fresco. Plus, you will find an array of little surprises, charming decorative touches and ornaments, and more all throughout this mature and well-maintained space.
Indoors, the villa continues to impress with its elegance and highly polished finished with spacious rooms that combine original features with modern luxuries. Expect exposed beam ceilings, terracotta floors, original fireplaces, antiques, interesting works of art, modern pieces of furniture, plush bedrooms, and luxurious bathrooms. Air-conditioning is also available in all of the bedrooms for your convenience and comfort.
On the ground floor there is a kitchen with two dining tables, a dishwasher, fridge-freezer, stove-top and oven, toaster, and a direct exit to the garden. A second kitchen – ideal for keeping a large group happy and well-fed – has another dining table, a dishwasher, fridge-freezer, stove top and oven, toaster, Italian coffee machine, and a direct exit to the garden. There are also three different living rooms, two with two sofas and a fireplace and one with a sofa bed. In a loft there is a desk area with an armchair and there is another separate room with a desk, television, and sitting area.
There are two bathrooms on this floor and there are two double en suite bedrooms. Then, on the first floor, there are five more double bedrooms, all en suite and all with air-conditioning, as all of the bedrooms are.
