In fact, in September, you can expect average temperatures of 15 to 27°C (59 to 81°F), bright and sunny days, with a little bit of rain here and there, sea temperatures of 22 to 25°C (72 to 77°F), and cooler evenings. So, you should have plenty of opportunity to enjoy the seaside during the day and you'll just need to bring some layers to wrap up in the evening.
October is a little less reliable but you can still expect plenty of sunny days along with the more cloudy, rainy ones, temperatures of 11 to 22°C (52 to 72°F), and sea temperatures remaining around a lovely 21°C (70°F) until the middle of the month. Plus, as the colours of autumn take over and the landscape becomes even more impossibly beautiful, this time of the year along the Tuscan Coast is a wonderful combination of potential days on the beach and cosy fall walks and delicious harvest delights – sounds perfect!

Again, if you're looking for pleasant weather to enjoy the wonderful beaches of Tuscany without larger crowds then this is ideal but bear in mind that it can still be quite chilly in the evenings and the daytime weather, too, is not yet completely reliable.
