We would all like a taste of the dolce vita while on holidays in Italy but once you have found a luxury villa in Florence and are planning a trip, it may become apparent that the high life isn't easy to achieve. Luckily, we have lots of great bargains to snatch up but, in addition to this, there are also plenty of ways to stretch your budget further. If you've always wanted to pick up a piece from an iconic Italian fashion label while on vacation, then heading to an outlet is a way to do it on a budget. The Space Outlet in Montevarchi, for example, is one such place and a great destination for fashion lovers heading to Florence to pencil in to their trip. Just take half a day during your time in the city and drive out or take one of the public transport options and then indulge in a little retail therapy.
In Montevarchi you will find The Space, an outlet store for the Prada company that houses outlet stores for multiple famous and beloved designer brands including Miu Miu, Car Shoe, Helmut Lang and, of course, Prada.
For a long time, it was a hidden gem and was in a nondescript warehouse building without any signs indicating just what the building in this small, average town was. Still located in that same building, it is at least marked now but still readily driven past if one does not know what they are looking for.
When you arrive, you'll get a ticket with a customer ID number and items are brought to the counter for you as you browse and then you eventually check out and pay with your number when you're done. No more than 100 customers are allowed in at a time and the staff members in store are very helpful, making it a more pleasant outlet experience than most. There is a cafe on the property as well but little else besides that, you're really coming for the clothes and leaving when done.
For fashion lovers looking for a bargain in Tuscany, it really is a must!
