The thermo-mineral spring of Equi was first discovered and enjoyed centuries upon centuries ago and is still one of the biggest and most important attractions that brings visitors to the town. The thermal park combines the crystal clear perfection of the Apuan waters with a relaxing environment. The thermo-mineral spring is salt-sulfate-alkaline and is classified as sources minerals with a temperature that varies between 17 and 27 °C but has a mean of 24 °C. This water is rainwater that has been collected in the Apuan mountains for centuries and filtered in the ground and enriched with precious minerals, before being returned to the surface once more. The waters of Equi are good to drink and have beneficial effects on the skin, nervous system and general well-being.
