The whole wall is about 4km long and is interrupted by 11 bastions, all different in design. Trees were planted along the lengths of the wall and are well-tended. The area outside is made up of lush green fields free of development, making the walls a perfectly charming site that offers excellent views over the surrounding countryside, as well as a great vista over the old town itself. Find a villa with pool in Lucca and spend a day strolling and taking in those extraordinary views for yourself!
6. Capalbio
Capalbio is a beautiful medieval town in southern Maremma, on the Tuscan coast, which is known for its beautiful characteristic and historic village, the unparalleled natural scenery that surrounds and its long sandy beaches.

It is the perfect place to kick back and relax and do nothing at all. In addition, its elevated position offers incredible views across the coast and stunning surrounding countryside, often presenting glimpses of those views between the pretty houses and buildings of the town. While there are plenty of lovely seaside towns and resorts that have great views of the Tuscan coast, this charming town is something special and offers particularly breathtaking vistas. Just find a vacation rental in Capalbio and take in the town's perfect Tuscan views yourself.
Of course, there are many more places in Tuscany that offer lovely views, however, those mentioned in this series are ones we felt were particularly noteworthy and personal favourites. Are there some must-see spots and views that you think we should have mentioned? Let us know!
