Terme di Petriolo is set in a wooded area of Siena close to Montalcino. Visitors can avail of some warm thermal pools that are free to enter and well as a few bigger ones that require a small fee. This was once a frequented destination of popes and members of the wealthy banker Medici family as a place of refreshment.
The hot springs of Saturnia located in the Maremma area of Tuscany has welcomed tourists for many years to soak in their healing waters as have the 45 degree pools of Venturina. There are also several spa centres offering pampering mud baths and invigorating massages to revive weary travellers.

Casciana Terme is a lavish spa holiday destination in Tuscany. Like the others, it offers many steaming pools of mineral rich waters to bathe in, helping you remove all those aches and pains. Try drinking the water at Uliveto Terme which is said to help with digestive problems!
The luxury spa towns of San Giuliano Terme and Monsummano Terme are well worth a visit. At Monsummano Terme, many hot pools fill up cavities in the surrounding mountains. There’s also an area called Grotta Giusti here with zones nicknamed paradise, purgatory and hell although you can be sure every experience here will be simply heavenly!
