The ‘Sagra del Tordo’, meaning Feast of the Thrush takes place in Montalcino during the last weekend of October. Have fun watching an archery competition whereby two archers from each of the town’s districts or contrada compete against each other for first place. Feel the vibrations of the thrilling drum parade by locals dressed up in medieval costume and take part in a glorious feast hosted along the city walls on the Sunday.
