While spending a day at Marina di Pisa, i spotted this dog enjoying a shady rest on the beach with his owner. I wonder what he could have been dreaming of that would be better than this idyllic spot along the Mediterranean coast.

I was so deeply moved as I watched women from the village lovingly come and tend the beautiful flowers on the graves. What a lovely way to honor their departed loved ones. No plastic flowers on their graves! I wished so much I could have gone and worked along side them.

Food is my life, so whenever I get a chance I will seek out shops and markets for food items to buy while traveling. This market in Venice made my mouth water at every turn. Among my purchases was a kilo of fresh garlic. Unfortunately, upon arriving back in the US the sniffing dogs turned me in.
