Casa Emma
August 2013 was our 40 th Anniversary and we wanted to return to Italy.We wanted a Villa or apartment and found online Casa Emma in Lucca.When we arrived we were anxious as we always do the hotel thing. When the door opened on the 300 year old building I can say this was the highlight of our trip.The wooden floors,the very high ceilings with mortar and beams, shutters on the windows that we would love to watch the locals walking or riding their bicycles to the market or just strolling. They certainly know how to live! I would love to awaken and open the bedroom shutters to see the neighbor ladies airing out their bed pillows each and every morning. I then would do my morning stroll to the bakery for a fresh baked loaf of bread.
The only problem is, I never want to stay in a hotel room after this amazing experience.y
